The monsters are the central antagonistic species of the web-turned-light novel, manga and anime franchise Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest. They were created by Freid Bagwa by clearing the labyrinth to use ancient magic.
They are mindless creatures who are obedience to Garland. They eat humans, beastmen and other monsters to gain powers.
Their meat is extremely poisonous, as it can destroy humans' body from the inside. But the only way to withstand the meat and survive when those who drank liquefied mana to make humans as hybrid monsters as the very first one and the only hybrid in existence is the series' main protagonist, Hajime Nagumo.

The monsters have no sort of feeling or emotions, as they exist solely to eat every living organisms they come across with, including their own species, to gain power.
Human/Monster Hybrid[]
A human/monster hybrid is a unique rare species of humans who gain the monsters' strength and powers through their mutations of eating the monsters after drank the liquefied mana while absorbing their powers. They are no longer considered as humans anymore. While continually eating the other monsters, Their strength, speed, reflexes and senses are way stronger than those of beastmen, ordinary monsters and even blessed humans. Their abilities are extremely more powerful than the humans who are blessed by Ehit with enhanced physical power and demonic abilities. Their strength is too dangerous when they easily brutalized humans (including those with enhanced physical power) by damaging their organs and breaking their bones as it demonstrated when Hajime easily pummeled Daisuke Hiyama. The side effects is to severed their fears and almost all of their compassionate from their original personality to become ruthless and sadistic destroyers. They are even stronger than the Ehit's true apostles as proven when Hajime killed Noint. Their powers are too great that not even the Holy Church's singing can handle so much power. According to Cattleya, if the hybrids such as Hajime is anything like the monsters, their monstrous and inhuman strength were checked out. Their original bodies changed into 10 inched taller and extremely muscular toned bodies. Their hair changed from original into white haired and eyes colors turned to crimsoned red by the Marie Antoinette Syndrome. They have purple spiked blood cells and red tattooed-like veins. The colors of their manas turned original to crimson colored. The restoration magic is the only thing to restore them to their full conditions.
