~ Mooch in "True or False Alarm". |
Mooch The Fox (also known as Mooch) is both the titular main antagonist and the true titular main protagonist of The Wacky World of Tex Avery segments Maurice and Mooch. He is a orange fox that tries to eat the yellow chicken, Maurice.
he was voiced by Maurice LaMarche.
Personality[]
He is very sly, high-strung, sarcastic, underhanded and pretty cocky. Even though he is very prone to mishaps and misfortune, he is zealous and persistent. As he always tries to find ways to lure Maurice into his traps so he can eat him, even though Maurice outsmarts him too. He can even act nice (or sneaky) if his goals require it.
His goal is getting food, yet he always targets a chicken named Maurice, since that's the most appetizing thing around, and other predators tend to do better at catching their prey than Mooch himself as seen in "True or False Alarm". His failures tends to make him embittered and desperate, often wanting to do anything for food, even if it means begging from others or chasing after a naive yellow chicken.
Appearance[]
He is a scrawny, orange and tan fox with a regular snout with some freckles, bulbous nose, has a bit of a pot belly, has brown feet, and his tail is bushy. He also sports on white gloves.

Breakfast In Bedlam[]
He is shown in his wreck for a home, left completely paranoid over his growling stomach. After finding nothing to eat in his own domicile, he looks through his binoscope and looks at anything to eat, upon spotting Maurice on a window. He traspasses and sneaks into the house, claiming that it'll be as easy as taking candy from a baby, his fingers get slammed by the window and Maurice continues to cook his breakfast meal, Mooch watches from the window and plans to be a "psychic plumber" to fix the flooding Maurice caused. Upon trying to lure Maurice into the drainer so Mooch can eat Maurice over the excuse of a drainer being stuck; Maurice uses a electric hand mixer tool to shove in the drain, which causes him to spin around. Where Maurice hid in the basement, Mooch uses a electronic hook and grapple rope to make the claw go through the pipe and capture Maurice. Where Maurice stretched his arm long enough to make a doodle of himself onto Mooch's butt, it grabs him and pulls him through all of the pipes to a which, ties up Mooch.
Sitter Jitters[]
He kidnaps the real babysitter and impersonates a babysitter Maurice's parents hired, and Mooch tried making him a bath for him to be cooked in, which backfires on himself.

Black and Blue Belt[]
While he was minding his own buisness, he sees a kung fu school to find a poster that says it'll be closed at noon for Maurice Souab's private lesson. Entering the facility, he finds a black belt pig practicing, and Mooch compliments him, right before capturing him in a bag and stealing his clothes. Mooch acts as the sensi to Maurice in disguise, as well as failing in his many attempts to eat him, all by his attempts to wack him with a axe, telling him to do a pretzel position so Mooch can chop him with giant scissors (cutting his own tail as a result), using a huge boxing glove to wack him. At one point, he and Maurice parody the kung fu genre seen in movies, with different voices. Afterwards, Mooch gains the skills of a true kung fu master and foils his own strategies, Maurice even calls the number of members from "American's Most Wanted Toon", Mooch gets put into a commerical and is seen being taken away.
True Or False Alarm[]
He asks anyone to spare him some food after being a wreck whose house is a mess. As he spots Maurice, he thinks to go in a facade as a firefighter so he can kill Maurice with spiky shoes or luring him into his traps while Maurice's naivete deflects Mooch's hopes and then gets caught on the fire truck. Maurice, despite being a kid, drives the truck and Mooch gets mishap after mishap, to the point his house gets destroyed.

Slaphappy Birthday[]
He is seen by himself and looking at a menu to eat stuff from the garbage, which leads to a garbage truck emptying the trash and dropping the can upside down, onto Mooch. Upon spotting Maurice and his friends preparing for a birthday party, he runs and finds Clucko the Clown; a entertainer that Mooch violently skulls him on the head with a mallet he carries everywhere and starts impersonating as the clown so Mooch can cook Maurice and his friends. Where Mooch got caught by a human officer, he asks what's the trouble, the avian clown tries conveying the message of Mooch committing fraud despite his constant muttering and Mooch starts repeatedly skulling the unintelligible avian clown with a mallet, making the officer laugh at the clown's misery. Shoving the clown into the car and acts like he put on a show for the officer, getting a coin in return for making the officer laugh. Mooch then goes nearby Maurice's home and uses a walkie talkie to persuade Maurice's parents to pick him up from two different locations so he can effectively sneak in to Maurice's backyard, faking the act of celebrating Maurice's birthday with charisma and getting them to play piñata while Mooch finds utensils. The piñata game starts getting everyone to hit Mooch with the stick, Mooch grabbing onto a chicken's arms made Maurice hit the piñata, which the head lands on Mooch's head and everyone whacks Mooch with sticks. After they all played games, Mooch then gets food supplies like Ketchup, Mustard, Relish and Mayonnaise, and then he starts squirting the ketchup and relish onto all of the chickens' faces. The chickens laughing in joy, Mooch gets them all to have lettuce on their heads and to wear slices of bread on their heads and feet as Mooch calls it his "Free Clucko Sesame Party Hat" and "Clown Shoes". Upon attempting to grab Maurice and attempting to eat him in front of his friends, Maurice recognizes Mooch by his breath and pulling off his clown nose, Mooch threatens Maurice of him clucking in his stomach after eating him and Maurice shoves the clown nose to his mouth, getting away and Mooch starts chasing after him and other chickens. Charging into Maurice and his friends hiding behind the flipped over table, he gets slammed with cake and launched with ice cream that flies onto Mooch's nostrils and then yelling "Hey" at them got plenty of ice cream balls fly into his mouth. Mooch liking the fact they launched food at him to the point it'll always fly into his mouth, one of Maurice's friends send a bucket into his mouth. He then gets launched with two soda bottles and is seen with the soda blasting from his ears. After pulling the bottles out of himself, he gets with the ball from a crotchet set that was constantly launched by Maurice and friends, as he is seen running away from them.
