Mooky is the main antagonist of the 2007 French CGI-animated short film Jungle Jail. He used to be a muscular civilian until he got arrested for attacking an innocent man in a bug costume simply for being next to him. He then became the most fierce and unnerving criminal within the prison. He is also one of Moukret's tormentors, given his brutal and sadistic behavior towards him.
He was voiced by Sébastian Buisson, with additional vocals being provided by stock audio of a lion.
Personality[]
Prior to his arrest, Mooky was a wonderous and calm person, being happy while exploring the carnival. However, he becomes violent, bloodthirsty and very pleased with all of his barbarous deeds as evident from when he smiles at Moukret after the latter has just been arrested and when he runs back to kill the bug-dressed man at the carnival.
Biography[]
As shown in the credits, Mooky was seen happily wondering around in an amusement park wearing a Goofy hat. However, this began to change while he was walking, he had his shoulder tapped for him to see a man in a bug costume trying to be comedic around him. Without hesitation, he jumps and brutally attacks the man even though he did nothing wrong to him. This got the police's attention as they immediately visited the park to arrest him. Things don't get better as the bug man got back up, he attacked him again (even though his hands were cuffed behind his back).
Mooky was then taken to Jungle Jail and was considered the most malevolent of the prisoners. When Moukret is arrested and he sees him, he angrily smiles making the psychopath gulp in fear. It was morning time and just as Moukret was about to leave his cell, the prisoners within the jail grab him and abuse him for fun, he tries to escape but only to find more trouble (and that's when he participates), Moukret is then running back into his cell, wanting nothing more but vengeance upon the prisoners for all the disgusting things they've done to him.
The next morning, after Moukret was given his breakfast, he bumps into Mooky, holding a tray containing a giant towering portion of food (even including a barrel and a human hand). Mooky gets enraged simply for him being in the way, so he grabs him by the head and with a grin throws him into the cleaning closet. As he recovers, he comes over for one final attack, only for a little bug to fall on Moukret's hand and easily scare him. Screaming like a girl, he faints and doesn't recover for a while.
He is then seen exercising on the machine, but when Moukret spots him, he hides only to realize he doesn't have the bug and tries to kill him with the dumbbell (until it appears on his head which knocks him out again). When Mooky wakes up, he finds himself with a spikey leash on his neck as Moukret has him as his personal servant, forcing him to steal from and beat other prisoners to death to satisfy the psychopath. Later, when the prisoners were forced to make a statue out of fear, Mooky becomes stressed and tired of Moukret's malicious and cruel treatment, growling at him in resentment. However, this does not make anything better as the little bald criminal once again uses the bug to force him into obedience, when the bug can't reach his face, it kisses him.
Suddenly, Mooky becomes a savage and unstoppable beast, destroying cells and literally the prison itself which results in countless prisoners escaping and him passing out at the end. When the alarm goes off and the daydream is over, Mooky finds out that lunch is over, the prisoners were going back into their cells and some of them were eating his food. Finally, Moukret tries to use the bug against him but to no avail, resulting in a punch in the face.
