Morgan is the secondary antagonist of the Doctor Who story "Colony in Space".
He was portrayed by Tony Caunter.
Morgan was the first officer of the Interplanetary Mining Corporation expedition to Uxarius, serving under Captain Dent. He was given a key role in their plan to force the colonists to leave the planet so they could exploit its mineral wealth. He was sent to use both a projector and a robot equipped with claws to convince the colonists that the planet was populated by giant lizards. However, he was spotted by one of the colonists, Leeson, so used the robot to kill him and his wife. Dent chided him for allowing himself to be seen.
When the expedition's specialist, Caldwell, brought the Doctor back to their ship, Dent assigned Morgan the task of disposing of him, since they didn't want the colonists to know when they arrived on the planet. After offering the Doctor a lift back to the colony, Morgan asked to first check out the Leesons' dome, supposedly so he could find out more about the alleged lizard attack. There, Morgan turned the IMC robot on the Doctor, intending to kill him, but the Doctor knocked the control panel from his hand and Morgan fled, allowing the Doctor to alert the colonists.
The Doctor helped the militant senior colonist Winton take over the IMC ship and find evidence of their wrongdoing. Morgan pretended to betray Dent and offered to produce more evidence, but this was just a ruse to reach some concealed guns. The IMC men gained the upper hand and destroyed the evidence. An Adjudicator apparently arrived on the planet but was actually the Master in disguise. He initially awarded the planet to IMC but then seemed to change his mind. The colonists overpowered IMC and forced them to return to their ship, but Dent realised the Adjudicator was a fake. He, Morgan and the others returned and surprised the colonists, ordering them to leave the planet.
Morgan and Caldwell investigated the Adjudicator's spaceship, in reality the Master's TARDIS, and found Jo imprisoned them, releasing her. The IMC guards forced the colonists to board their spaceship, with neither Dent nor Morgan concerned that it was likely to explode on take-off... which it did, apparently killing all the colonists. Caldwell had disappeared with Jo in the confusion and Dent told Morgan to take an expedition and find them. Morgan expressed concern they would be blamed for the colonists' deaths but was satisfied when Dent told him they'd say the colonists declined an offer to check the ship over. Morgan and his party located the Jo and Caldwell with the Doctor and the Master. Morgan pretended to kill the three time travellers, telling Caldwell he'd kill him as well if they didn't need him for the survey. However, then Winton arrived with a group of colonists: The majority had got off the ship before take-off, with their leader Ashe taking it up alone so IMC would think they were all dead. A gun battle broke out, during which Morgan and most of his men were killed.
