Morgan is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Knox) of the 2023 action comedy film Hidden Strike.
He is a very quiet yet extremely dangerous Unicorp Mercenary who is one of Owen Paddock's lieutenants.
He is portrayed by Ernest Manson.
Biography[]
He first appears during a covert cash handoff to Chris Van Horne, working alongside Knox and Henry. As Chris jokes around and dubs his teammates with nicknames, Morgan remains stoic, clearly uninterested in Chris’s attempts at levity. He’s not there to make friends—he’s there to get the job done.
Morgan plays a critical role in the ambush on Feng’s convoy. Utilizing a sandstorm-generating rocket truck, he helps cover the kidnapping of several buses, personally overseeing the capture of Professor Chang and her son. Once the hostages are secured, Morgan returns to base, where Owen eliminates Henry and the other dissenters. Morgan, however, is revealed to have always been loyal to Owen. With Knox at his side, he begins executing hostages until Owen orders a stop, showing just how far his loyalty—and his cruelty—extends.
When Professor Chang’s bag goes missing, Morgan and Knox are sent to recover it. Their search leads them to Chris’s village, where Morgan commands his men to scour the area and intimidate civilians. With complete disregard for life, he threatens to spill innocent blood unless the bag is found. Following a tense standoff with Feng and Chris, Morgan recovers the bag and retreats to the refinery, ready to begin the final phase of Owen’s plan.
At the refinery, Morgan helps Owen initiate the extraction of oil, overseeing operations from the control room. Once the oil tankers are loaded and on the move, he joins Owen in leading the escape convoy out of Iraq.
But their flight is quickly met with resistance. Mei and Chris pursue them in a desperate attempt to stop the heist, ramming the convoy. Just as the pressure mounts, Feng slams his rocket truck into one of the tankers, setting off a fiery chain reaction. The explosion hurls Morgan and Owen’s vehicle into a violent crash.
Morgan is killed instantly in the wreck—his body slumped lifelessly in the driver’s seat. In a brutal display of pragmatism, Owen coldly kicks his corpse out of the vehicle, taking over the wheel to try and escape.
