Morgan Le Fay (real name Mrs. Wentworth) is the main antagonist of the Scooby-Doo franchise's 46th movie Scooby-Doo! The Sword And The Scoob. While Mrs. Wentworth is in really a librarian, in her disguise she is an evil sorcessess who wants to rule Camelot.
She was voiced by Grey DeLisle Griffin, who is also the current voice of Daphne Blake. Griffin also voiced another version of Morgan Le Fay in Ultimate Spider-Man.
History[]
Mrs. Wentworth was first seen at the library, doing her work. When she heard that Mystery Incorporated was on a trip to London; England, she decided to force Shaggy Rogers to sign the Norville will in order to take claim of the town, by posing as the powerful sorceress Morgan Le Fey from the time of King Arthur. In her disguise, she claims to take over Camelot and dethrone the King, and eventually "transported" the kids back to medieval times due to a "magical spell" linked to Shaggy's supposed ancestry (which were actually special effects and both King Arthur and the peasants were actors and townspeople who were in a performance without Mystery Inc knowing).
She becomes their primary obstacle as they try to navigate this "past era". Morgan used her "magic" to cast illusions and create chaos to challenge the Mystery Inc., setting up traps and summoning creatures, often trying to pit others against the gang or frame them for trouble. She then kidnapped Shaggy and created a scenario where Shaggy was thought to be a brave knight destined to defeat a dragon. However, Mrs. Wentworth's plans were foiled by the gang's teamwork. She was ultimately exposed and thwarted, restoring peace to the city.
Powers and Abilities[]
- "Dark Magic": Morgan's magical abilities were created by the use of various gadgets Mrs. Wentworth concealed as part of her costume.
- Flight: Due to invisible wires and a hidden jet pack, Wentworth was able to levitate and fly in the air.
- Energy Projection: Via fireworks, Wentworth was capable to release and project powerful light blue energy blasts from her hands.
- Shapeshifting: Like Maleficent, Morgan le Fay was able to shapeshift into a dragon, which in reality was a large fire breathing robot.
