Biography[]
Past[]
Little is known about Morpheel's past. At some point, it infiltrated the Lakebed Temple and took residence under the sand of the dungeon. The Legend of Zelda Encyclopaedia confirms that Morpheel is an Oktorok.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess[]
As Link sinks down to the bottom of the dungeon, he encounters a single tentacle and then a large mouth. Equipping the iron boots, Link is able to attack Morpheel by using his clawshot to grab Morpheel's singular eye and attack it. However, doing so induces the second phase of the battle, where Morpheel emerges fully from the sand and begins to swim around the dungeon. Using the clawshot again, Link is able to latch onto Morpheel's eye and attack it again, resulting in its death.
