How I'm enjoying being annoying!
~ Morty's motto.

Morty Maxwell, also known as The Master of Mischief, is the main antagonist of the Super Solvers franchise. He is a mischievous man who frequently causes trouble in his hometown of Shady Glen as well as a number of fantasy worlds, and the Super Solver is frequently called upon to stop him.

History[]

He was mischievous as a child and loved pulling pranks on people, though he seemed to have some friends. For a school assignment, he wrote an essay about how he wished he could be a kid forever, which explains some of his adult personality.

As an adult, Morty often takes over various buildings in Shady Glen and tries to disrupt life in the town. In Midnight Rescue, he returns to his old middle school with the help of five robots and plans to use disappearing paint to make the school disappear. In Outnumbered, he takes over the town's TV station and stations his robots Telly and Livewire to stop the Super Solver. In Gizmos and Gadgets, he takes over a science center and demands that the Super Solver compete with him in a series of races, while his Cyberchimps try to steal the Super Solver's parts. In Mission T.H.I.N.K. he takes over a game factory and says that from now on it will only produce toys designed by him, and uses his Metal Minions to steal the best game pieces.

He also appears in Spellbound along with his robots and competes against the Super Solver in various locations. He's also an antagonist in Challenge of the Ancient Empires where he attempts to steal ancient artifacts from various temples, though the cave creatures inside the temples are the main threat.

He is also the main antagonist in the Treasure tetrology of games, where he causes mayhem in various fantasy worlds. In Treasure Mountain he steals the presents from the elves of Treasure Mountain and uses magic to turn some of the elves bad. He later returns to the mountain in Treasure Mathstorm and freezes it, though this backfires as Morty himself is frozen solid along with the mountain.

In Treasure Cove Morty builds a workshop of magic tricks, using malevolent creatures called Goobies for his experiments, but the experiment goes wrong and the Goobies begin polluting Treasure Cove. In Treasure Galaxy he goes to Crystal City and steals its crystals, which could potentially doom the city's sundrops to extinction, and turns the asteroids into evil Disasteroids to cause more trouble.

Trivia[]

  • He technically isn't a villain in Spellbound as he's just competing in a legal spelling bee and he doesn't cheat.
  • Operation Neptune is the only game in the franchise where Morty doesn't appear.
