Biography[]
History[]
Morun was a Gundabad orc who has been under the command of Azog the Defiler for many years. He first fought in the Battle of Azanulbizar. He escaped with the injured Pale Orc and many others when the battle was lost.
Joining Bolg's Hunters[]
Morun and many other orcs, including orcs like Fimbul and Narzug, were selected by Azog to join Bolg's hunt for Thorin Oakenshield and the Dwarf Party.
Mirkwood Skirmish[]
The Hunters tracked the Dwarf Party to Mirkwood. They attacked the elves, just as the dwarves were escaping. Though they had killed many elves and injured one of the dwarves, the hunters unsuccessfully killed the dwarves.
Laketown Skirmish and Death[]
The orcs had tracked the Dwarf Party to Laketown. They stealthily infiltrated the town and tried to kill the dwarves. However, it was pointless, for Thorin and many others had left for Erebor. Morun and many others attacked the dwarves that had stayed behind and nearly killed them until Legolas and Tauriel arrived to their assistance.
Morun successfully escaped when Fimbul reported that Thorin had left. Bolg sent a messenger to Dol Guldur, but told Morun and another orc to assist him in a fight against Legolas. As Legolas slowly walked toward Bolg, Morun and the other orc daringly ambushed him. However, Legolas quickly cut them both down with his sword.
Trivia[]
- He is the cousin of Narzug.
- He is surprisingly agile, considering his age.
