Biography[]
Mosca of Montelepre was a very famous and skilled assassin living in Monelepre, Sicily. His reputation of never failing his missions made him feared across Sicily. He was also an old friend and associate of Don Osvaldo Altobello who used him in various missions before.
In 1980 when Michael Corleone visited Palermo to watch his son Anthony perform, Don Altobello visited Mosca and asked to "remove a stone from his shoe" meaning to kill Michael Corleone for him. Mosca and his partner Spara, then dressing as priests tried to go to Don Tommasino's house where Michael was living as a guest. Tommasino offered to give them a ride but once he recognized Mosca he refused to do so forcing Mosca to shoot him, killing him instantly and thus failing in his first attempt to kill Michael. It soon became known that Altobello had hired a famous assassin to kill Michael and thus his nephew and new Don, Vincent Corleone hired skilled guards to protect him and the entire family.
During Anthony's opera performance in Palermo, Mosca once again dressed as a priest entred and easily disposed the Corleone guards with his knife but once again failed to shoot Michael. During the exit from the theater, Mosca came close to Michael and shot twice. The first bullet wounded Michael in the shoulder while the second killed his daughter Mary who got in the way. He was soon seized by the crowd and Vincent shot him dead.
