A pair of Mosquitoes known as John and Paul serve as the main antagonists of the 2000's animated series "No me Moleste Mosquito" ("Don't bother me Mosquito" in English) by Uruguayan studio Animalada Studios as well as a few animated music videos for the German Traditional Bubblegum Dance project Loco Loco, also animated by Animalada Studios.
In both the animated series and the music videos they take joy in tormenting Joe Bigman, later named Mr. Loco in the Loco Loco music videos, no matter where he goes throughout the world as well as others in their way if they feel like it.
Appearance[]
They appear as anthropomorphic mosquitoes of differing builds, Paul being short and obese and John being slim and tall. They both wear clothes, a blue/purple shirt for Paul and a dark green shirt for John, and both have shoes that match their shirts' colors.
Both have heads covered in spikes and the usual antennae, and their proboscis, or actual mouths, are adapted into noses to fit their more humanoid designs. They both have large, humanlike eyes, but Paul has relatively normal eyes with blue irises, while John has more malicious yellow eyes.
Personality[]
“ | The series begins when two singular mosquito buds decide to move in with the Bigmans and make their and their neighbors' lives miserable. | „ |

“ | Mosquito: Mosquito, parasito, bandito... Mr. Loco: I kill you! |
„ |
~ The Mosquitoes and Mr. Loco in the "Mosquito" song, the former admitting their parasitic bandit-like lifestyle. |
While initially just seen as mischievous parasites, they progressively get slightly worse from the animated pilot onwards as they target Joe Bigman/Mr. Loco for no good reason other than to torment him with their presence and make his situation worse, whether it's by ruining his home, not letting him sleep, not letting him think about his girlfriend, or adding extremely hot curry to his food. This even leads to Mr. Loco hallucinating and having nightmares about the Mosquitoes, and while Mr. Loco suffers through this and is stuck in his bathroom, the Mosquitoes openly mock him.
They will also go after other people, though very rarely. In the original description for the series, it says they targeted other characters outside of Bigman and his family; and at one point during one of the music videos, they made an Indian firewalker fall on the fire pit beneath him rear first, burning him and naturally causing him a lot of pain. A newspaper in the song "Mosquito" may imply these two Mosquitoes are responsible for going after a great number of people, though it could also just refer to mosquitoes in general.
Despite their behaviour with humans, they still seem to care somewhat about one another, trying to save each other from being splattered or warning each other when danger approaches. Paul also seems to have romantic feelings for John, though this is only shown in production images and not in the pilot or music videos. The official description describes them as 'best buds' rather than a pair of any kind (though given John's reaction, it's clearly one-sided). John seems to act like the leader while Paul dim-wittedly follows him around. However, they're equally malicious and fully aware of this, even calling themselves bandits in the song "Mosquito".
They also break the 4th wall a few times, addressing or entertaining the viewer with their nefarious plans or their mocking attitudes.

Trivia[]
- The official description for the series (found in the Animalada website via the Wayback Machine) describes John and Paul as "two crazy mosquito buds that make every effort to annoy him, while they practice Count Dracula's favorite sport".
- Every time they're collectively referred to as mosquitoes, they're spelled "Mosquitoes" with a capital M, hence why their page does so as well.
- Since Joe Bigman's name possibly changed in the Loco Loco music videos, it's unknown if John and Paul's names also changed.
- They are crushed many times throughout the music videos, songs, pictures, gifs, and episodes, making it unclear if they died and come back due to the series cartoonish nature, or if they simply cannot die by being splattered.
