Mother Apollonia is the overarching antagonist of the 2018 horror game Nun Massacre. She is a delusional priest that disciplines the children at the catholic school if she finds them to be impure and grows a perverted obsession with Ms. McDonnell's daughter, Janie McDonnell when she arrives at the school, proceeding to abuse her in increasingly cruel ways over time before Janie eventually kills herself to escape the torment and it's left ambiguous what happened to Apollonia afterwards.
Her voice actor has not been credited.
Biography[]
Mother Apollonia was a nun at the Catholic boarding school where the game takes place. She was fiercely obsessed with "curing" the children of any blasphemous thoughts against the Lord and would punish those who showed signs of it. One day, when Ms. McDonnell's daughter, Janie arrived at the boarding school, Mother Apollonia seemed to gain an obsession with abusing her, taking away her comfort doll, Bongo the clown, repeatedly using a ruler to beat her, forcing her to walk around almost naked after peeing at her desk, locking her in punishment and depriving her of being able to use the bathroom, resulting in her defecating on the floor and Mother Apollonia forcing her to rub it all over her body and show it to her classmates, shaving her head and beating her with a ruler until her skin was purple and eventually raping her with a cross in order to "cure" her.
After these events, it's shown that Janie either killed herself to escape the cruel punishments that she was given, or Mother Apollonia sent her home after she because dreadfully sick, where Janie was subjected to further abuse by her own mother, leading to her suicide. It is unknown what happened to Mother Apollonia after these events as the boarding school is empty by the time the game takes place, but it can be assumed she either retired due to the large time gap, or she was arrested for her crimes.
Personality[]
Despite being completely off screen with only notes to go off of, Mother Apollonia shows herself to be fiercely obsessed with making sure none of the kids are blasphemous in any way, as shown by her extreme abuse due to Janie not believing God exists in this world. She is also shown to be a bully, as she allows to other students at the school to pick on Janie with no repercussions and takes any opportunity she can to publicly humiliate her, as shown when she forced her to rub her excrement all over her body and show it to the rest of the class. There are also signs she is a pedophile too, as she forced Janie to walk around almost naked after peeing herself for the rest of the day and decided to rape her with a cross as a way of "curing" her, plus making her take off her uniform one time so she could beat her all over her body.
