Mother Melzard is the ruler of the Melzard Tribe and the main antagonist of B-Fighter Kabuto. She is the mother of Raija, Dezzle, Miolra and Dord, as well as the progenitor of all the Melzard Monsters.
She is voiced by Wakana Yamazaki, who also voiced child Queen Nehelenia in Sailor Moon Super S.
History[]
Alongside Emperor Gaohm, Mother Melzard was a descendant of the Will of Darkness who sought to carry on its master plan. 200 million years ago, Mother Melzard and her brood entered hibernation on Earth in preparation for the day when they would surface and begin their campaign to conquer Earth.
In the year 2005, ten years after the Jamahl's invasion, Mother Melzard and her progeny surfaced to begin their invasion of the planet. Mother Melzard tasked her two eldest children, Raija and Dezzle, to lead the invasion and gave birth to a new Melzard Monster, Elebammoth. Raija stepped up to lead the Melzard Tribe's initial attack and took Elebammoth along with his assistant Miolra and a group of guards in an assault on the city. However, Elebammoth was destroyed by the new generation of B-Fighters created by Cosmo Academia.
After Raija's initial attack was repelled by the B-Fighters, Mother Melzard allowed her second son Dezzle to lead the next attack and gave birth to a new monster, Zazanyoda. Dezzle had Zazanyoda assume the guise of a handsome teacher and lure numerous female students to be captured so their energy could by siphoned off for the Melzard Tribe's purposes. However, the B-Fighters uncovered the plot and managed to free the Melzard Tribe's prisoners before destroying Zazanyoda.
When the eight Insect Medals fell to Earth, Mother sent her children to obtain them for her. Although Raija was killed, he was able to claim four of the medals and have Miolra deliver them to Melzard. Mother Melzard then used the medals to create the B-Crushers as a counter to the B-Fighters. Dezzle would later approach Mother and ask for her to fuse his remaining guards into him in an attempt to win back her favor, resulting in him being transformed into Dezzle the Great. In his new form, Dezzle challenged the B-Fighters and initially overpowered them until they were able to destroy him with the help of B-Fighter Min.
Not long after, Mother Melzard sent the B-Crushers to obtain the Astral Saber and the Geist Axe in order to claim the Shell Gods within for Melzard. The B-Fighters were able to obtain the Astral Saber, while the B-Crushers claimed the Geist Axe. Descorpion then summoned Kuwaga Titan and did battle in it against Kabuto in Kabuterios. The battle ended when both machines were exhausted and retreated inside their respective artifacts.
Soon after, Raija and Dezzle would later return from the dead in new superpowered forms and challenge the B-Fighters once more.
For her final plan, Mother Melzard enacted a scheme to implant bombs in every human and sent out her monster Dargriffon to gather darkness for the operation. However, Dargriffon was destroyed after Guru sacrificed herself. Melzard then sent B-Crushers Killmantis and Beezack along with Dezzle in an advance attack to destroy the B-Fighters' base. Although Killmantis and Beezack were able to destroy the B-Fighters' hanger, the B-Fighters were able to fight off and slay Dezzle and Dord. The B-Fighters then joined with the New B-Fighters to storm Melzardos and stop Mother Melzard. Once all the bombs were in place, Mother Melzard activated the detonator, but the New B-Fighters combined their energies to destroy the detonator, causing all the bombs to disappear and triggering a chain reaction that caused Melzardos to crash.
However, Melzard, Raija, Miolra and Descorpion survived the crash, with Melzard absorbing the energies of darkness and emerging from the rubbled giant-sized as Jadow Mothera to rampage across the city. As Jadow Mothera wreaked havoc, her three remaining children fought the B-Fighters on the ground to hold them off from challenging their Mother. However, B-Fighter Kuwaga was able to unseal Kuwaga Titan and free him from his darkness corruption, before piloting him against Jadow Mothera. After defeating both Descorpion and Raija, Kabuto joined the fight against Jadow Mothera in Kabuterios. Together, Kabuto and Kuwaga piloted Kabuterios and Kuwaga Titan respectively to strike down and destroy Jadow Mothera, putting an end to her reign of darkness.
