The Mother of Invention was a one-shot villain from the animated 1994 series The Tick. He is a time traveler who intends to use his technological know how to make himself rich by pattenting the inventions of others before they invent them, instead of simply profiting off of his own time traveling technology.
Misdeeds[]
The Mother of Invention kidnaps many inventors including Leonardo Di Vinci, Benjiman Franklin, and George Washington Carter in order to go back in time to their own eras and cash in on their invention pattents. When the inventors escape, he enlists an army of mercenaries from multiple time periods to put an end to their revolt, but they are thwarted by the inventors with the Tick and Arthur.
