Motsuki

Motsuki, and formerly nicknamed Henchmoth, is a major antagonist in the television series PJ Masks.

She is an anthropomorphic moth girl and Luna Girl's little sister and henchmoth.

She is also Owlette's second arch-nemesis.

She is voiced by Hattie Kragten.

History[]

Motsuki started off as a typical moth in the first two seasons, a very long time ago. She was originally recognized as one of Luna Girl's moths in "Moon Madness."

After assisting Luna Girl in stealing the harvest Moon Crystal from the safe at PJ Masks HQ, Luna Girl decided to promote her to the position of her new henchman, grant her new powers with the Luna Wand, which altered her appearance, and give her a name.

In "Moth on the Moon," Motsuki ultimately made the decision to travel to the Moon and take on the role of Luna Girl's new sister. To do this, she created an odd Moon Crystal in a cave where she hibernated and hatched into a humanoid moth using negative energy.

Personality[]

Each transformation has caused Motsuki's personality to change:

She was initially highly devoted to Luna Girl, both when she was a regular moth and subsequently when she was a henchman. She was more intelligent, sly, and devious than other moths, but also highly domineering. She is more concentrated than the other moths, who are typically distracted, and she is rather swift, as evidenced by the fact that she is seen chasing after PJ Robot before capturing him inside the HQ's vault. She does, like Luna Girl, have a tender side.

She opted to go against Luna's wishes after transforming into a humanoid moth who now serves as Luna Girl's sister, becoming boisterous and irksome toward both her own big sister and the PJ Masks and even losing her gentle side. Motsuki no longer serves Luna; she now constantly quarrels with her and is frequently treated like a kid, yet despite Luna's lack of affection for her the most of the time, Motsuki still loves and cares for her. Even though they still quarrel occasionally, Luna Girl and Motsuki started getting along better in Season 4.

Luna Girl and Motsuki were enraged with one another in Season 5, beginning with the episode "Luna Goes Too Far," as a result of Luna Girl's actions (trying to take Motsuki's teleporting abilities, saying that she didn't like living on the moon with her), which she had no regrets about. The girls were fierce rivals until "Luna's Moon Attack," when, thanks to the PJs, they have finally reconciled, rekindling their sisterhood after forgiving one another and admitting their positive feelings towards one another. This is in contrast to the time in "Luna's Mega Moth," when Motsuki saved Luna Girl from falling.

Despite this, she is very adorable, intelligent, and quick to pick things up. In "Big Sister Motsuki," when PJ Robot asked her to behave well for the babies and she realized that they wanted to grow up like her, Motsuki chose to use the baby beam to change them back to normal and then let PJ Robot out of her moon bubble.

Her personality stayed the same as when she was a humanoid when she briefly returned to being a normal moth in "Heroes of the Sky," even though she expressed her desire to be in command in gibberish.

Appearance[]

Motsuki has a teal appearance and is decked out with a lilac, purple, and pink crystal-adorned outfit. She has a chubby belly, four arms, wings, pink eyeballs, purple eyes, and purple eyelids.

She is the very first moth to come with Luna Girl to the moon.
Her gender is revealed for the first time when Luna Girl refers to her as "she."
She and Luna Girl are the sixth and seventh villains that appear at Mystery Mountain.
- In fact, they are the only villains on Mystery Mountain that are friendly with An Yu.
Motsuki's initial transformation might be an homage to Beauticruel's transformation in Power Rangers Dino Supercharge.
