Mr. Agar is the secondary antagonist of the Canadian animated sitcom Carl².

He is the cynical teacher of Carl Crashman, whom he constantly detests and always tries to find a reason to get him into trouble. He has also expressed distaste of the Crashman family multiple times in the series, seeing them as problematic despite not doing any harm besides Chloe, who stemmed his dislike of the family.

He was voiced by Paul Pogue.

Appearance

Mr. Agar is an elderly man with white/grey hair, and a blue coat with a red shirt underneath, and black glasses.

Biography

Mr. Agar is the teacher of Carl Crashman who is seemingly disliked among his students. Chloe Crashman, a former student of his class and Carl's older sister, likely stemming his dislike of the Crashman family, with it being implied Chloe was a huge cheater.

Mr. Agar is also shown to be the creator of the school's Robot Babies, which were given to the students as an assignment to take care of them as if they were real babies. They appear in the episode "Night of the Living Clones" inside of Carl's dream, where they were revealed to be evil. Mr. Agar got crushed by them when he told Carl that he will receive a month's worth of detention for playing with school property, seemingly killing him. Outside of Carl's dream, a Robot Baby arrives in a package and it activates with red eyes, revealing they were evil in real life as well.

Personality

As stated above, Mr. Agar is the cynical teacher of Carl's high school and will stop at almost nothing to make him fail. Anytime Carl would successfully pass a test without cheating, Mr. Agar would instantly accuse him of the latter and give him a harsh punishment. Though his hatred for Carl might be because he had his older sister, Chloe in his class before, who stemmed his dislike of the Crashman family, but it does not excuse his treatment towards Carl and his clone, C2.

Mr. Agar is shown to enjoy seeing the students suffer and show no remorse for it. He doesn't like it whenever Carl acts happy and prefers to see him and the other students complain all the time.
