Mr. Blank was hired by Edward Rasmus to kill the Moore family after they were going to sue him for stealing their life savings. Blank visited the family’s house, shooting both of the parents, Eric and Nancy Moore. However, their son, Taylor escaped. Blank informed his employer of this development and reassured him that he would reunite the boy with his parents in death.
Blank later made a second attempt on Taylor’s life while he was hiding in the apartment of Laurel Lance, claiming to be a lieutenant of the SCPD. However, once Laurel realizes his deception, Blank shoots the door open and searches the house Taylor, who is hiding under the couch with Tommy Merlyn, nearly discovering him before Laurel nearly shoots him with a shotgun. However, the gun was only loaded with one bullet and Blank prepared to shoot Laurel dead, only to be stopped by The Hood, forcing Blank to flee.
Blank’s employer, Edward Rasmus, was later attacked by The Hood, forcing him to confess his crimes to the police. Blank later visited Rasmus in prison, posing as his lawyer. Rasmus tells Blank to stop hunting Taylor, but Blank refused since the boy had seen his face. Blank then puts pressure on Rasmus’ forearm, causing an embolism to form in his veins, which kills him.
Blank later attacks the Queen Mansion in another attempt to kill Taylor and any other witnesses. He shoots two bodyguards before being attacked by Oliver Queen. Blank attempts to kill him in the same way he killed Rasmus during their fight, while wondering what happened to Queen on the island, Queen then pushes his arm out of the way and tosses him off the railing. Blank then puts Queen in a headlock and throws him near the fireplace. Blank prepared to shoot Queen with his gun, only for Queen to stab him in the chest with a poker.
