Then the devices we gave you are working correctly? Good. Because we believe anything which does not work correctly should be destroyed. Consider that as you follow your "backup plans."
~ Mr. Blonde threatening Trent Easton and Cassandra DeVries.
You have failed, Easton. You are a flawed device, and we need you no longer.
~ Mr. Blonde before killing Easton.

Mr. Blonde is the main antagonist of the 2000 first-person shooter game Perfect Dark.

He is a warrior of the Skedar who disguises himself as a human in order to go undercover at the company dataDyne. Leveraging his position as dataDyne's supplier and benefactor, Mr. Blonde masterminds the Skedar's invasion of Earth.

He was voiced by Duncan Botwood.

Biography[]

Little is known about Mr. Blonde's past, other than that he was a Skedar warrior who was assigned to go undercover on Earth. Utilizing a disguise resembling a tall, blonde human man, Mr. Blonde arrived on Earth and began financing the tech conglomerate known as dataDyne.

Mr. Blonde uses his influence at dataDyne to coerce the company's CEO, Cassandra DeVries, into conspiring in his plan to help the Skedar invade Earth. He also manages to contact Trent Easton, the United States' National Security Agency (NSA), and uses him to try and convince the U.S. president to join in on the conspiracy.

Eventually, a special agent from the Carrington Institute named Joanna Dark invades dataDyne and begins uncovering Mr. Blonde's scheme. Furious at Cassandra's failure to stop her, Mr. Blonde accelerates his scheme and demands that Easton make a last-ditch effort to convince the president to join dataDyne, and to kidnap him if he refuses.

Easton fails to convince the president and tries to kidnap him, only to be stopped by Joanna, who rescues the president with the help of a Maian named Elvis. Fed up with his minions' failures, Mr. Blonde personally executes Easton, then abducts Cassandra and orders her to be taken back to the Skedar home planet to be ritualistically sacrificed.

Ultimately, Cassandra is killed en route to the planet. Joanna arrives on the planet and assassinates the Skedar King, crippling their army. However, Mr. Blonde's whereabouts remain unknown.

Trivia[]
