Mr. Boss' Mother is the secondary antagonist of the Smiling Friends episode "Curse of the Green Halloween Witch."
She's the deceased mother of Smiling Friends head Mr. Boss, summoned by the curse of the Green Halloween Witch to resolve unfinished business with her son after he abandoned her and pawned off her belongings.
She was voiced by Marc M., who also voices her son.
Appearance[]
She is an illuminated, translucent ghost with greenish-gray skin, a large, jowly head, and a skinny frame. She has frayed, waving, stringy white hair and extremely saggy, glowing yellow eyes (which also turn black and red). She also has a large, pointy nose with 3 moles, pink lips, purplish gums, and sparse yellow teeth. She wears a light blue gown and yellow ring earrings, and has a wispy form at the bottom that is typical of spirit depictions, as well as pink nails on her 8 fingers in total. Overall, she bears a strong resemblance to her son.
Biography[]
Sometime in the past, Mr. Boss sold off all of his mother's beloved heirlooms to buy his gaming PC. He also abandoned her in a retirement home as a "prank."
After the Green Halloween Witch curses the Smiling Friends for not giving her a dime, Mr. Boss' mother appears to him after he's electrocuted trying to turn the building's breaker back on. She accuses him of abandoning her before drifting away, prompting Boss to chase her down the hall apologetically.
Mr. Boss eventually reaches a storage room where she appears once again, accusing him of leaving her to rot before her ghostly form disintegrates into dust and a skull. However, her ghost appears above him again with red eyes and lunges at him. Mr. Boss is later shown alone at his desk, naked and crying blood out of hollowed eyes while holding a bloodied knife before Pim grabs it and kills him.
Trivia[]
- Since she only appears in the alternate reality segment of the Witch's orb, it's possible Mr. Boss' mother and her backstory is not canon to the main timeline.
