Mr. Butlertron 8133B (AKA "Besley Nestle") is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Cleopatra) of Clone High, serving as the robot servant and loyal friend/partner to Principal Scudworth and vice principal of Clone High High School. Mr. Butlertron aides Scudworth with his crimes and by extension, helps the government organization, The Secret Board of Shadowy Figures with their plots to take over the world. However, Mr. Butlertron is mostly focused on helping Scudworth with his own secret plan to betray the Shadowy Figures and turn the clones into theme park exhibits at Cloney Island.
He is voiced by Christopher Miller.
Biography[]
Mr. Butlertron was a robot product that was manufactured by a toy company back in the 1930's. He was bought by Presley and Leslie Nestle, as a toy for their son, Wesley. The parents named the Mr. Butlertron toy "Besley" and would pretend that he's the twin brother of Wesley, for the sake of letting the kid have some fun. Wesley was overjoyed to have Besley as a robot companion and believed him to be a real, flesh-and-blood person and a biological relative. The two brothers were inseparable best friends and would do everything together. Wesley planned on being together with Besley forever, even in heaven.
One day, The Nestle Family went out on a baptism retreat to get Wesley baptized but when Besley tried to get baptized too, his parents stopped him, saying that because he's a robot, he's just going to rust and short out. Besley argued that he needed to get baptized so that he could go to heaven with his brother when he dies but the parents broke the unfortunate news to him that he wasn't really Wesley's brother by any means and wasn't even a real person. Besley was heartbroken but as a robot, was unable to cry.
Eventually, Presley and Leslie kicked Besley out of the house, believing him to just be a nuisance rather than a fun toy for Wesley. They gave him a box of belongings and sent him on a bus to Anywhere But Here. Besley's last childhood interaction with Wesley was telling him he hated him and never wanted to see him again before being driven away forever.
As an adult in the 1970's, Besley worked as a pimp, who was no longer in contact with his former family. He married one of his hookers, who was named Purity. Their marriage was one of the happiest moments of his life and they even had a baby together. One fateful day, he walked in on Purity cheating on him with a VCR. Besley was so mad at Purity and began to suspect wasn't even his own kid, seeing how similar he looked to the VCR. Again, Besley was unable to cry on account of being a robot. Besley walked out on their marriage and again, boarded a bus to Anywhere But Here.
Now a broken man, Besley went to a church to pray, where he ended up coming across none other than Wesley, who was now working as a priest. Wesley was so delighted to finally see his brother again and Besley felt the same. The two reunited and were both pretty quick to forget all the bad stuff that happened in the past. Wesley updated Besley on his life, telling him about how he was now a married man with a bunch of kids, (one of which he named after him). They also seized this opportunity to finally have Besley baptized.
Wesley took Besley out to the ocean in a rowboat and sprayed him with some anti-rust spray so that Besley could be safely baptized. Unfortunarely, this was during a huge storm and Wesley was knocked off the boat and into the ocean. Unable to swim, Wesley paddled around for dear life and tried to reach out to Besley to save him. Besley tried grabbing him but all he was able to grab was his jacket, his rosary, and a lock of his hair that ripped off. Right then and there, Wesley drowned, breaking Besley's heart once again but again, he still couldn't cry because he was a robot. After this, Besley got on another bus to Anywhere But Here.
In the 1980's, Besley started a new career in Hollywood, now working as a famous sitcom actor. This life brought him tons of fame and fortune, turning him into an illustrious celebrity. Of course, none of this fame and fortune actually kindled any real joy as there was an emptiness inside of him that could only be filled by Wesley.
It was around this time that Besley met Cinnamon Scudworth, who tracked him down after seeing him on TV. Scudworth recognized him as one of the Mr. Butlertron robots from the now discontinued toy brand and told him how he'd always wanted one but never got the chance to have one since they were all gone now. Scudworth desired a Mr. Butlertron because having one would be very useful to him and his world-domination plot for The Secret Board of Shadowy Figures. Besley wasn't interested in this, until he heard that Scudworth had the ability to clone the deceased, using their DNA. Besley asked if Scudworth could clone Wesley for him, using the DNA from his lock of hair and Scudworth said that he could. Besley didn't mind so much that he was now aiding a villainous organization as long as it meant bringing his brother back from the dead and so, he gladly joined Scudworth and officially became his Mr. Butlertron.
Later on in the 1980's, Mr. Butlertron would assist Cinnamon Scudworth with going around, desecrating the graves of famous historical figures, and stealing DNA from their corpses, which they would eventually makes genetic clones out of. By 1987, the two had created a whole barrage of clones, including clones of various historical figures, including but not limited to; Abraham Lincoln, Joan of Arc, Mahatma Gandhi, Cleopatra, JFK, Julius Caesar, Genghis Khan, George Washington Carver, Catherine the Great, Martin Luther King Jr., Vincent Van Gogh, Harriet Tubman, Frida Khalo, and Jesus Christ, just to name a few.
By 2003, the clones had all become teenagers in high school. To govern over all of them, Cinnamon Scudworth worked as the principal of his very own, Clone High High School, where he monitored all of their behaviors, relationships, and lives, with his trusty robot, Mr. Butlertron, working by his side as the vice principal and school councilor.
Appearance[]
Mr. Butlertron is a gray robot with brown hair, three legs with wheels squeezing. He has a red vest and wear a blue bow tie.
Personality[]
Mr. Butlertron is a robot that is mainly programmed to serve and obey his masters, making him do whatever he is ordered to do by whoever currently owns him. Currently, he works for Principal Scudworth, who uses him to help with his evil plans to someday kidnap the clones of Clone High High School as theme park attractions for Cloney Island, despite The Secret Board of Shadowy Figures requiring he instead turn them into world leaders. Although Mr. Butlertron assists Scudworth with such crimes as graverobbing, murder, theft, kidnapping, and destruction, he still serves as an occasional moral compass and voice of reason to him, since he truly does care about Scudworth and wants to make sure that even though he's being evil, he wants him to be evil in a sort of "ethical" way. Mr. Butlertron is almost always ignored in times like this. Mr. Butlertron also occasionally works as a mentor to the clones, as despite being a robot, he is programmed with a highly sensitive passion protocol, making him a very sympathetic robot with real feelings, who does about as much good for the world as he does evil.
