In Mexico City, a group of four businessmen are discussing an ambitious gold mining project. Mr. Caradura tells them that they are going to extract gold using fracking. When Mr. Wang is worried and doubtful about not knowing what it means, Frevier and Mr. Brown make fun of his ignorance. It is then that Mr. Caradura explains to him, laughing, that fracking is the future, and explains the process step by step. Frevier and Mr. Brown look at this with a greedy smile. When Frevier asks Caradura where that place is, he answers that the mountain is in a village called San Jaime de las Jaibas.

When they get there, they are seen in the square with Mayor Manuel and Mr. Torrealta. They applaud the mayor's words to the townspeople. When Nana Petra complains, Mr. Brown tells her that if she wants to represent the opposition, then she should go to Congress, but she almost insults him if it weren't for Copi, her granddaughter. After a townsperson asks how long it will take to extract the gold, Mr. Caradura answers that it would be a matter of weeks. When Manuel tells him the real names of the townspeople, he answers that it doesn't matter to him. After another townsperson asks how much gold each townsperson will get, he answers that they will have to do calculations, increase the variables, reduce the incalculable, add the percentage of risk and divide it by the number they have thought of. When Petra complains about how they are going to extract the resources from the mountain, the man answers (calling her "white head") that it will be through fracking. When Copi tells him that she has read about it and it is not good at all, he hypocritically says that he should not worry because it is not bad either.

While Mr. Wang tells them honestly what fracking causes, Mr. Caradura violently pushes him aside to shut him up and tells the townspeople (not before strongly pushing Manuel aside for misnaming everyone) that there are two types of people in the world: those who get everything they want and those who never in their lives dare to get it.

Before leaving the square, Caradura recommends to Manuel that he look after their interests, as they will then have to look after his as if they were their own, laughing.

As they head to the Sacred Mountain with the machinery, Caradura announces that they are about to begin the mother of all excavations, and that they just need to get to the point where they will serve as the center of operations. When Frevier asks him where that point is, he answers that it is an unimportant place.

After a while, as the machines begin to destroy the mountain territory, Caradura looks on proudly as Frevier and Mr. Brown applaud. When Manuel asks him if they haven't lost, Caradura tells him that there are 3 things that can't be lost. Mr. Brown continues that the first is time, Frevier continues that the second is power, and Caradura finishes with the third being money. In the distance, it is seen that they have also brought an army of men escorted and ready to repress. Then, Caradura welcomes Manuel to the future, and laughs proudly.

In another scene, when Carmen, Petra and Viejo arrive at the place where the businessmen are and Manuel warns them, Caradura says that Petra (calling her white head again) is very foolish, and he assumed it. He approaches the group of townspeople and asks the old woman what she wants now. Faced with the claim that the mountain belongs to everyone in the town and they must respect it, Mr. Brown answers that they could negotiate with a check of a certain value to sign. Faced with Petra's denial, Frevier clarifies that what Brown means is that in the town, she is considered an "influencer." Not understanding Don Viejo's reaction to respecting his friend, he explains that she can influence people and if she gives in, no one will object. Faced with Carmen's attempt to make Manuel see reason, Mr. Caradura reveals to them that the mayor's authority has already signed the authorization to do their fracking. Faced with Carmen's threat to file a lawsuit, Caradura does not listen. Instead, he orders them to continue with the fracking and dynamite, and when he hears that there are two children on the mountain (Gus and Copi), he doesn't believe what he says either. When Manuel tries to tell Petra that he is going to try to delay the excavation, he asks him to repeat what he said, more to save her loyalty, he makes her believe that in reality he only wanted to delay their lawsuit. As a consequence, Petra slaps Manuel and both she and Carmen and Don Viejo are taken to the municipal jail.

Later, Mr. Caradura announces that everything is ready for fracking, and everyone is ready to continue with their greed, except for Mr. Wang, who is visibly worried.

In the next scene, Mr. Caradura says that this is the moment everyone has been waiting for: millions of liters of chemicals will melt the rock of the mountain so that the excavators can continue their work as if they were breaking a powder keg. Frevier and Mr. Brown applaud proudly, but Mr. Wang and Manuel do not look the same. When Manuel tells him that he had never told him that they were going to need so much dynamite, Caradura answers that he does not give a damn. When the mayor mentions hearing voices of supernatural spirits, Caradura shouts that they do not exist. When the angry mob of townspeople arrives, Manuel tells him that he is sure of what he is going to do, but he pushes him away violently and orders the injection to be applied, pushing a lever on a machine.

In the process of operations, Mr. Caradura continues to watch everything with pride while the other businessmen look somewhat worried. When the villagers get angry at the damage they are causing to the Sacred Mountain, they look scared of what is going to happen and are quickly protected by their escorts.

While the fury of the people continues and Carmen throws Don Viejo's baton close to the businessmen, Mr. Caradura orders, between shouts, more acid.

After Xico turns out to be the messenger they were looking for and fuses his power with the magic stones, and therefore begins to defend the sacred mountain, he orders his escorts to finish off the villagers, but thanks to the power of the dog, he splits the earth into 2 parts to save them. While the messenger's magic destroys all the machinery and creates an earth monster to be an extra help to the destruction, they watch in horror what is happening. Mr. Wang and Mayor Manuel run to hide, while Frevier and Mr. Brown try to stop the drivers from fleeing, but it is of no use. While they continue trying to order them to return, the messenger's magic light catches them and transforms them into bugs, which are then crushed to death by one of the destroyed machines. Mr. Caradura becomes furious as never before and screams at the top of his lungs at the monster that the mountain should die and that it cannot fight against it, but the gigantic creature hits him with one of its legs. When he is near a dynamite, he curses the villagers and claims to be fearless, which makes him powerful. However, the monster rushes to devour him, killing him instantly.
