Mr. Hitcher

Mr. Hitcher is a cartoon character from the Warner Bros. animated television series Tiny Toon Adventures. He is a minor antagonist, and thus appears rarely on the show.

He was voiced by Rob Paulsen.

In the Show

Mr. Hitcher is a psychotic killer who escaped from the State Maximum Security Prison in the direct-to-video movie, How I Spent My Vacation (where he is the final antagonist of Babs and Buster Bunny's events and the sole antagonist (but maybe not main) of those of Plucky and Hamton). Hamton and his family pick him up on their vacation while he was hitchhiking, much to Plucky's horror. He is described as a lanky man with straggly (long, black) hair and a pale complexion, wearing a dirty red baseball cap, a tattered gray overcoat, and orange high-tops. He has a psychotic aversion to pork, and wields a chainsaw and hockey mask (baring resemblance to Jason Voorhees from the "Friday the 13th" horror movie franchise). Mr. Hitcher makes numerous attempts with his chainsaw against Hamton, Hamton's family, Plucky, Buster and Babs in the film.

He appears in a few episodes such as the What Makes Toons Tick episode segment, Going Up, where he robs the Acme Mall and ties up the security guards. He enters the elevator to make his escape, but his plans come to a halt as Little Plucky is already inside and has control over the buttons. Plucky sends the elevator soaring up and down (as well as Mr. Hitcher) as he continuously hits the buttons, detaining Mr. Hitcher and gives the guards enough time to get freed and arrest Mr. Hitcher. However, he does get some sort of revenge which comes at the end of How I Spent My Vacation, where he chases after and terrorizes Plucky in the classroom on the first day back to school from vacation.

Videogame Appearance

Mr. Hitcher appears as a boss in Scary Dreams/Buster's Bad Dream for the Game Boy Advance, complete with his chainsaw and hockey mask.

  • According to Sonic Boom writer, Alan Denton, Mr. Hitcher served as the inspiration for The Bike Chain Bandit in the episode, "Planes, Trains, and Dude-Mobiles". The scene where Knuckles picks him up in that episode plays very similarly to the scene where Hamton's family picks up Mr. Hitcher in How I Spent My Vacation.
