Mr. Mustela is the secondary antagonist from the 2021 animated film, Addams Family 2. He is one of two minions hired by Cyrus Strange tasked with retrieving Wednesday Addams.
He is voiced by Wallace Shawn (who also played Vizzini in The Princess Bride, Bertram on Family Guy, Taotie on Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and Calico in Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore.)
Appearance[]
Mr. Mustela appears to be a short caucasian man with curly grey hair that grows around a bald head. He has dark-black eyes, a large nose, and a pair of glasses. He wears a yellow suit that is somewhat too large for his body, causing it to sag. He also sports a white undershirt and a large blue bowtie.
Personality[]
Mr. Mustela is described as being a "Weasly Man" by the members of the Addams family. He is a liar who is very dedicated to his job, pursuing the Addams family despite the constant danger that it put him in. He is shown to be a liar, as seen when he lied about being a lawyer in order to try and get to Wednesday.
Biography[]
Mustela first appears at the beginning of the movie where he attempts to trick Morticia and Gomez into believing that he was a lawyer who was there to retrieve Wednesday. His reasoning was that she was a child from another family whom was separated from her original family at birth. The two laughed him off, assuming he was hired by Wednesday in order to prank them. They tipped him with a severed finger and told him to go on his way.
Mustela later appeared in a car following the Addams with his new assistant, Pongo. He told Pongo that they would be fired if they were not successful, giving him an entire bottle of mints shortly after. They later reappeared at Niagara Falls, where they continued their pursuit. Gomez escaped them by jumping into the water using barrels, but Uncle Fester grabbed Mustela and jumped with him into the water. Mustela reemerged, paddling and gasping for air.
They appeared a while after this on a scooter, where Pongo was able to get Mustela close enough so that he could get onto the Addams' car. Gomez suggested the family play "Punch Buggy", which caused Lurch to punch Mustela's face (who was looking in at them through a window.) He flew back and blinded Pongo, causing them to careen into a pile of mud. The two continued to follow them until the Addams arrived at the "Alamo Inn". They inspected the Addams family car, not knowing that the family had gone inside of the building. They eventually figured this out, and they began searching the pageant that was going on inside for her. Although Mustela was at first unsure if she was there, he eventually discovered who she was when he spilled paint on all the other contestants. Gomez stopped him from charging at her by proclaiming that he was a talent agent, causing everyone in the theatre to dogpile onto the man.
Mustela was last seen attempting to capture Wednesday near the Grand Canyon, where he fell into her trap. This caused him to dangle over a chasm. He begged for mercy, but then received a phonemail from Cyrus asking where the girl was. Wednesday took the phone, and at the end of the call, she revealed to Cyrus that she Mustela was "let go", implying that she had let him fall into the chasm.
