Mr. Peterson, nicknamed Theo, is the main antagonist of the Hello Neighbor spin-off series Welcome to Raven Brooks. He is an alternate version of the mainstream version of the character. Much like in the game, he was amusement park designer and the patriarch of the Peterson family.
He was the husband of Diane Peterson and the father of his two children Aaron and Mya Peterson. He is also one of the archenemies of the Inventor's Club, most notably Trinity Bales and Nicky Roth.
Mr. Peterson is voiced by Armen Taylor, who voiced the character's mainstream counterpart in Hello Neighbor 2 and Hello Neighbor VR: Search and Rescue.
Biography[]
Season 1[]
Despite the Inventors Club's initial doubts, Nicky manages to convince many of them that something is strange with Mr. Peterson, even getting them to help him spy on the neighbor to figure out what he's up to. However, all of them except Trinity leave as they start to get scared. When Nicky decides to take matters into his own hands, using Trinity as the look-out, he enters Peterson's house to try and break into the basement, but gets caught by Peterson, much to Trinity's horror. Peterson gives Trinity a taunting warning through Nicky's walkie talkie, telling her that no one would believe anything she said if she tried to prove Peterson kidnapped Nicky, and locks the boy in his basement.
Mr. Peterson proceeds to psychologically torment Trinity in the following weeks, even going so far as to introduce himself formally to her family by going to their house. Upon arrival, he reveals a tray of cookies he baked for them in the shape of Nicky's goggles, sneering at Trinity as she makes the connection. Trinity's father thanks Mr. Peterson for the cookies, but tells him that unfortunately Trinity can't have sugar since she's diabetic (which he already knew from stalking her). He then aggressively eats one of the cookies in front of her, scaring Trinity with the unspoken threat of hurting Nicky.
Eventually, the Inventors Club work together to try and save Nicky, as they all break into his house, only to find out that two more locks have been added to the basement door. Peterson catches them and knocks them all out, sending them to join Nicky in the basement, where they find out that Nicky has been mentally tortured in some way by Peterson. As they eventually manage to escape, Peterson tries to stop them but gets side tracked when he realizes that his unnamed prisoner, likely his son Aaron, has escaped the basement, and he tries, and fails to capture him again.
Mr. Peterson then breaks his own rule, crossing past the boundaries of his house to continue chasing Trinity and her friends, and even grabbing Trinity to try pulling her back into his house. Luckily, Trinity's parents leave the house and see this happen, and police also arrive to witness Peterson trying to kidnap Trinity. As police move to stop him, Peterson manages to fight some of them off, demonstrating just how strong he really is, but eventually he is taken down and arrested.
As he is put in the back of the police car, muttering "where is he" under his breath over and over, he turns to Trinity and warns her that she just used up all her luck, before being driven away to prison.
Season 2[]
TBA
Appearance[]
Season 1[]
Mr. Peterson's appearance is based on his mainstream counterpart, with brown hair with streaks of grey, a bushy moustache and round chin. He wears a yellow shirt with a blue vest, and is often seen wearing black gloves over his hands.
Season 2[]
Mr. Peterson's appearance continued to remain the same in the second season, but in later episodes, he now looks slightly different. The stress emitting from his growing insanity during his time in jail causes him to look more dishevelled while his skin turned pale in color.
Personality[]
Mr. Peterson, like his mainstream variant, is a very private and reclusive person who is intolerant of anyone getting in his business. However, this version of the character is more psychotic and erratic than his game counterpart, which is saying something considering the lunacy of Mr. Peterson in general.
Another trait that is unique to this version of Mr. Peterson is how petty he is. There are many instances where Mr. Peterson will go to great lengths just to hurt people, such as when he made cookies in the shape of Nicky's goggles after kidnapping the boy, only to eat them in front of Trinity, who can't have sugar.
Trivia[]
- Out of all the Hello Neighbor characters that appear in the Welcome to Raven Brooks show, Mr. Peterson has the most differences to his original counterpart.
- This version of Mr. Peterson is physically stronger, being able to take nearly eight police officers in a fight as seen in the Season 1 finale.
- This Mr. Peterson is also much more unstable, most likely due to having lost nearly everything thanks not only to Crowface, but to Trinity as well.
- The only confirmed kill Mr. Peterson has in the show is his killing of one of the Crowface cultist members, although this was done purely in self-defence, and so does not count towards a murder crime charge.
