	~ Mr. Rottweiler warning Richie and Eddie

Mr. Rottweiler was a minor antagonist from the British sitcom Bottom. His first and only appearance was in the second episode of season 1, "Gas".

He was portrayed by the late Brian Glover, who also portrayed Mr. Sugden in Kes and General Douglas in 1942: A Love Story.

Biography

Mr. Rottweiler was Richie and Eddie's neighbour who they have been stealing gas from. in Gas Richie and Eddie plan to stop stealing the gas supply from Mr. Rottweiler. They go to his front door and give him a half a Bootle of sherry. He then mentions he has a girl upstairs and he doesn't want anyone to mess things up, then he threatens to kill Richie and Eddie if he sees them again. Later on Richie and Eddie break into Mr. Rottweiler's house through his bedroom and try to disconnect their link to Mr. Rottweiler's Gas supply while he and his girlfriend are sleeping. Richie stays behind to cover up the hole in the wall while Eddie heads for the kitchen. Richie then sneaks into Mr. Rottweiler's bed to get closer to Mr. Rottweiler girlfriend Eddie the yells for Richie as the bed collapses Richie hide behind a blanket Mr. Rottweiler and his girlfriend wake up and they to make love again. Richie run into the kitchen to find Eddie having burned off his face and the Gas they head for the front door only to find the Gas man so they run back through the hole in Mr. Rottweiler's bedroom. while Mr. Rottweiler finds his kitchen on fire and screams to call the Gas board. As he sees the Gas man at the door he takes him in to show him what's happening then the Gas man mentions that Richie and Eddie was in Mr. Rottweiler's Flat. In a fit of Rage he breaks into Richie and Eddie's flat and strangles them.

Personality

Mr. Rottweiler is very bad tempered and quick to anger and is seemingly very strongly against Richie and Eddie. However underneath his angry face is a Romantic. He does seem to genuinely love his partner.
