Mr. Shining Knife (Mr.シャイニングナイフ Misutā Shainingu Naifu) & Mrs. Sweet Cake (Mrs.スイートケーク Misesu Suīto Kēku) are major antagonists in No.1 Sentai Gozyuger. A married couple whose enormous love to each other has caused them to merge into a single body, they collectively serve as No One World Buraidan's chiefs of staff.
Mr. Shining Knife is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita, while Ms. Sweet Cake is voiced by Reina Ueda.
Biography[]
Mr. Shining Knife and Ms. Sweet Cake are first introduced after dispatching Treasure Hunt No.1, wondering if he'd manage to be chosen the Queen Tega June thanks to his skills.
They later let Tokonatsu Atami/Don Momotaro, who was recently fired from his profession as the prime minister of Japan, to join the Buraidans, convincing Fire Candle who opposed the idea that they could easily get rid of him once he serves his purposed. Fire Candle ended up being right after Tokonatsu betrays the Buraidans and helps the Gozyugers fight Candle and Denjisu Park. Ms. Sweetcake is angered at this, so she and Mr. Shining Knife enlarge themselves. When Sumino Ichikawa/Gozyu Unicorn summons Tega Sword Black to deal with them, she manages to defeat them, but much to her surprise, they manage to regenerate from the foam they left behind and send an attack that could've killed her if not for the Tyranno Ranger Universe Warrior and Daizyuzin arriving to save her.
Personality[]
Despite their somewhat different approaches when it comes to planning, Mr. Shining Knife and Ms. Sweet Cake are deeply in love with each other, and use this for their advantage whenever they need to enlarge themselves.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Love Big Wave (ラブビッグウェーブ Rabu Biggu Uēbu): When the love between the two reaches its peak, Mr. Shining Knife & Mrs. Sweet Cake can grow giant.
- Cake Coliseum (ケーキコロシアム Kēki Koroshiamu): Mrs. Sweet Cake can generate a decorated coliseum made of cake from the ground to encase the opponent. If the couple is defeated, the coliseum will melt.
- Regeneration: Mr. Shining Knife & Mrs. Sweet Cake can regenerate themselves whenever they're defeated via whipped cream they leave behind.
- Dark Typhoon: Mr. Shining Knife & Mrs. Sweet Cake can release a whirlwind of darkness and lightning from the left side of the mouth on their chest.
