Frank Sparkles, better known as Mr. Sparkles, is a reccurring antagonist in Big Hero 6: The Series, serving as a minor antagonist in season 1 and a supporting antagonist in season 2 before redeeming himself in season 3. He is an attention-seeking game show host who would later become a supervillain in order to remain in the public eye.

He was voiced by Patton Oswalt, who also portrays Professor Dementor in the series and film Kim Possible, the Giant Unattractive Monster in Futurama, and TV's Son of TV's Frank in Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return and portrayed Bruce Scorpion in Keeping Up with the Joneses.

Biography

Mr. Sparkles is a game show host and villain who almost sent Mochi to the Sun. He is the creator of the formerly popular game show, Maximum Insane Obstacle Challenge while working with Yama. He was the Mayoi's leader when mutated by Di Amara and reverted back to normal later in the series.

Appearance

Mr. Sparkles is a short man wearing a pink wig while also donning a purple bowtie and undershirt, a light purple jacket, pink pants, black eye-shadow and a grey belt with a silver buckle.

Trivia

• Before appearing in Big Hero 6: The Series, Mr. Sparkles was intended to appear in the Big Hero 6 film as one of many supporting villains, but, like the others, was ultimately scrapped. Originally, he would have been a Japanese talk show host who wanted to rule the world, and was described as "a dumpy, little, kid-like man who was super creepy and weird".
  • Despite this, Mr. Sparkles still makes an appearance in the film on a poster in Hiro's room. Because of this, he is the only scrapped villain to make any kind of appearance in the move (although he is the second counting the Bot Fight Ringleader, who was repurposed from a pair of villains named The Fujitas).
