Biography[]
Books[]
Moe Wolf was born to Vinnie Wolf, a mechanic and criminal, and an unknown mother. During his childhood, his father was often rude and dismissive of Moe. He saved young Snake from bullies at the beginning of high school and soon taught Snake how to discourage bullies himself by threatening them. Soon, Wolf begins to involve Snake in his illegal and reckless activities, from burglary to car theft. At one point, Wolf even introduced Snake to his father, who offered Snake a job. One day, the two discover how much fun it is to be bad when Wolf thrillingly crashes his car around police cars. Eventually, Wolf's father became a more powerful crime leader and he and Snake met Shark and Piranha. Vinnie died of a heart attack during Moe's teenage years and soon after took over his father's business with Snake as his deputy.
Wolf first appears by addressing the audience and referring to how they would fear him because he is a 'big, scary monster'. He then introduces the rest of his gang, who also have extremely bad criminal records. He sits them all down and tells them that he has opened a 'Good Guys Club' for them to do good deeds and prove to the world that they are not scary monsters, despite the others' objections. They first start by rescuing a cat from a tree, but end up scaring it and breaking a couple of dogs out of a dog pound, attracting negative news attention. In book 2, they break into a chicken farm to rescue some chickens, which attracts even more negative attention from a guinea pig named Dr Marmalade, who vows revenge on them.
In the third book, Marmalade lures the gang into the woods and captures them. But then a ninja shows up and defeats the guards, revealing herself to be Agent Fox from the International League of Heroes. Wolf falls in love with her, much to Snake's disdain, and they all flee Marmalade's lair. However, Marmalade unleashes a zombie kitten apocalypse on the world. Fox and the Good Guys find a cure with Grandma Gumbo's help, but realize that the source of the apocalypse is on the moon and must be shut down. So the gang sneaks a spaceship to the moon, while Fox helps fight the Zites.
In space, Wolf and Snake argue about Wolf's feelings for Fox, and Wolf decides to go down to the compartment for the space suit. Then a laser beam fires at the spaceship and Snake cuts the damaged part down to save the others, leaving Wolf behind. Rocket is pulled by a tow beam and Marmalade captures them. Meanwhile, Wolf is stuck outside and his spacesuit is starting to run out of air. But Pirahna appears inside the suit and keeps farting because she eats a lot of burritos on the rocket. Wolf despairs, but comes up with a plan to break in and defeat Marmalade with him. Marmalade passes out from the fart gas Wolf releases from his spacesuit, and Wolf turns off the laser beam causing the zitten apocalypse. But as the gang celebrates, Marmalade reveals himself to be an alien.
In the next book, Wolf and the crew are captured as the alien explains everything. They use an escape pod to get back to Earth, but end up 65 million years in the past surrounded by velociraptors. Wolf, Shark and Snake distract the dinosaurs while Legs and Pirahna repair the portal.

Past[]
It is suggested that he came from the same place as the other Bad Guys. Like them, he was feared and treated like an outcast because of how he looked and the unfair ideas people had about his kind. Even before they did anything bad, they were already treated badly, so they used that fear to become powerful criminals. They wanted to prove they were better than everyone else by doing amazing heists.
The Bad Guys: Haunted Heist[]
Before the events of the movie and the Christmas special, Wolf tells the team about a big treasure that belongs to Reginald E. Scary. He says that anyone who takes it will be haunted forever. But once there, they are constantly being scared by machines Scary set up to stop thieves. They find the treasure, an amulet, and take it. But before they leave, Wolf plays one more trick on them.
Back at their hideout, Wolf starts acting strange. He hears music that no one else can and has a weird dream. He thinks he needs to return the amulet to Scary to stop the haunting. So he gets the team to go back to the mansion. On the way, the team gets captured, and Wolf ends up returning the amulet. It turns out the others were making fun of him for being so serious. When Wolf takes the amulet again, it breaks and reveals he knew it was all a trick. The others are mad at him.
The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday[]
Before the events of the movie, the Bad Guys are in the city planning a Christmas bank heist. They think people will be busy with their own celebrations. During a parade, their car gets stuck with a Santa Claus balloon, and it gets destroyed by accident. This makes the city really sad, and they cancel Christmas. The Bad Guys get worried about their plan and decide to help cheer people up. Webs suggests using a Santa exoskeleton she built, but the others think it’s too scary. Wolf suggests putting the balloon back, but it looks bad and they give up.
With only 12 hours left until Christmas morning, they plan to take over a radio station to play Christmas songs again, since rap music is now playing. Wolf and Snake will also steal presents and give them to people. The plan works, but Wolf thinks snow is needed to make people happy again. Webs changes a shaved ice machine to make snow, but Wolf messes with the machine and it becomes an ice storm. The city gets scared, and the team blames Wolf for being too reckless. But when he admits he just wanted to make the best heist ever, they forgive him.
Wolf uses the Santa exoskeleton to stop the ice machine. After the storm stops, the exoskeleton becomes a hero in the city. It tells people to go home. The criminalsgo back to their hideout but get sick and can’t do the heist. They are surprised to find gifts from Santa, even though they’ve been kind. They decide to break into Santa’s workshop to prove they deserve to be on the naughty list.
The Bad Guys[]
Born as a wolf, an animal that people often think of as a bad guy, Mr. Wolf felt pushed by society to be just that. So he became a criminal and started a gang called the Bad Guys, teaming up with other animals who are usually seen as villains: Mr. Snake, who is very smart and steals things; Mr. Shark, who is always happy and can change his looks; Mr. Piranha, who is really mean and crazy; and Ms. Tarantula, also known as "Webs," who is really good at hacking. The five quickly became likea family because they were each other's best friends in a world that didn't like them. The gang became the most wanted criminals, and they pulled off one successful heist after another, even when the police triedtheir best, especially with Chief Luggings, who is very angry.
After a successful bank robbery, Mr. Wolf and his friends went back to their hideout, which was in an old building near a sewer pipe. When they arrived, they celebrated Mr. Snake's birthday, which made Mr. Snake a bit upset. Later, they saw a newsreport. At first, they were proud to get attention, but then they got upset when Governor Diane Foxington talked about them as insecure, self-centered people who were only doing bad things out of anger and self-hate. Mr. Wolf asked the audience why Diane had the right to say that and turned off the TV in anger.
Determined to prove they were more than just bad guys, Mr. Wolf convinced his friends to steal the Golden Dolphin Award, which had never been stolen before. The award was owned by Professor Marmalade, a kind and generous guinea pig. Using human disguises, the Bad Guys sneaked into the museum party where the award was being given out and split up to pull off the biggest heist of the year.
At the ceremony, Mr. Wolf, dressed as Mr. Poodleton, met Governor Foxington for the first time. He needed her picture for a security bypass. The two bonded over a sculpture that looked shapeless but formed a swan when viewedfrom the right angle. This made Mr. Wolf think that people and things can be seen in many ways. He got his picture and secretly took Diane's ring. While stealing, Mr. Wolf accidentally saved an old lady who was about to fall down the stairs. She thanked him and called him a good boy, which made Mr. Wolf really happy. He didn’t just feel good—he felt love for the first time.
Later, Mr. Wolf, Mr. Piranha, and Mr. Snake went to get the Golden Dolphin from the backstage, while Mrs. Tarantula disabled the security system. After some funny mistakes, the Bad Guys got the award and were ready to leave. But right before they exited, Mr. Wolf overheard Professor Marmalade talking about how nice it feelsto do good. Overwhelmed, he wagged his tail, revealing their secret identities and getting the police's attention. After a failed escape, the Bad Guys were arrested for trying to steal the award. Before they were sent to jail, Mr. Wolf asked Governor Foxington for a chance to prove they could change. He used a speech she had given about how everyone has good in them. She was unsure at first, but Professor Marmalade supported the idea, and the Bad Guys were placed under the professor's care.
In the police car, Mr. Wolf told his friends that everything was part of his plan: they would act nice so the police wouldn’t stopthem, and they could keep doing what they did best. His friends were happy with his plan and startedtraining to be good. The next day, they were taken to Professor Marmalade's mansion. They learned how to be kind by sharing food, helping someone cross the street, and saving a kitten stuck in a tree. But the Bad Guys were used to being selfish and doing bad things, so they failed all the tests. Professor Marmalade then took the Bad Guys to a lab where they were supposed to help by "heroically" kidnapping thousands of guinea pigs. But the plan turned messy when Mr. Snake ate half of them, and the situation got worse when protesterssaw the Bad Guys trying to rescue the guinea pigs from Mr. Snake, thinking they were mistreating them.
Later that day, Diane Foxington finds out about the disaster at the testing lab and decides to stop the project. She calls the chief to arrest the Bad Guys. Wolf tries to talk to the Governor to fix things, but she gets angry with him for not wanting to change. Wolf finally loses his temper and tells her about his doubts, saying no one would believe or understand them even if they changed. Diane now feels sorry for him because she knows how he feels. She encourages him to be a good person for himself and his friends, not for others. She also shows she understands him by taking back her ring from under his nose, even though she's confused how she did it.
Thinking about Diane's words, Wolf goes back to Marmalade's garden and sees the kitten stuck on the same tree again. He climbs up to save it this time, being much more gentle. He talks to the kitten, saying he knows how scared it is and mentions he likes getting scratched on the ears like cats do. He wins the kitten's trust and brings it down safely. Unseen by him, Marmalade was hiding and filming Wolf's first good deed, which he later posts online.
After the video goes viral, everyone in town starts to like the Bad Guys and sees them as heroes. Marmalade tells Mr. Wolf that one day he'll have to choose between his friends or a better life. Snakeoverhears this. That night, Wolf is holding the kitten, thinking about how life would be if no one feared him and his friends, but Snake disagrees, saying the world will always see them as bad guys.
A few days later, the gang is invited to Marmalade's charity party. Mr. Wolf plans to steal the Golden Dolphin again. At the party, Wolf meets Foxington again. When Mr. Pirahna starts a musical number to distract everyone, Wolf and Diane dance together and have a lot of fun. The Bad Guys' performance helps raise almost a billion dollars. They secretly add gadgets to the lights to turn them off, giving Wolf time to swap the Dolphin with a fake. But Mr. Wolf decides not to steal it anymorebecause he's starting to fall in love with Diane.
Suddenly, the lights go out, and the Love Meteor, the city's symbol, disappears. Everyone blames the Bad Guys, thinking they really stole it. After giving Diane the hideout coordinates in a last attempt at redemption, Wolf and his friends try to escape. But Piranha's plan backfires, and they get arrested again. Inside the car, the Professor talks to them, but it's Marmalade who reveals himself as the realbad guy. He admits he stole the meteor and used Mr. Wolf by saying, "You're such a good boy. " He alsomade Wolf realize the old lady he helped was actually Marmalade in disguise, who said the same thing. Marmalade framed them to be a distraction and made his friends turn on Wolf, especially Snake.
Furious at being used, Wolf tries to attack Marmalade, but Marmalade opens a door in front of the wholecity, making them look even more evil and fake that Wolf was attacking him. Wolf and his friends are arrested again. Diane is confused by the situation, seeing that the coordinatesWolf gave were real and Marmalade framed them.
Inside the jail, Mr. Wolf confesses he's tired of being treated badly because he's a wolf and doesn't want to be a bad guy anymore. His teammates are shocked, especially Snake. Snake refuses to change and argues with Wolf, who gets angry and says his friends are holding him back. Everyone, especially Snake, is heartbroken and speechless. But instead of being provoked, they start a fight, which is interrupted by the criminal Crimson Paw, who frees them and reveals she's Diane, who knew Marmalade framed them.
Diane takes the bad guys back to the mainland to stop Marmalade, and Wolf decides to help her. However, Snake and the rest of the gang leave Mr. Wolf behind because of what happened at the dance and the prison. They felt betrayed by him for trying to change and also because Snake explained why he hatesbirthdays. A sad Wolf and Diane go to her house. Diane comforts Wolf and tells him why she stopped doingbad things and says he's doing the right thing. She also tells him that his friends might come to understand.
As they go inside her house and into her hidden room, they find out that Marmalade's plan is to use the meteor's power to control all the guinea pigs the Bad Guys let go. He wants to use them to steal all the money from the Gala. Wolf and Diane go to Marmalade's house to getthe meteor. Before that, Mr. Wolf visits the Bad Guys' hideout, where Diane has taken all their stolen stuff. He leaves a single push-pop there.
While the others are upset, Snake cheers up Shark by giving him the push-pop, which is the first kind thinghe's ever done. This makes Piranha, Shark, and Webs feel that doing good isn't so hard. But Snake gets angry and leaves, shouting, "We'll... always... be... BAD GUYS! "
Wolf and Diane arrive at Marmalade's house, but Wolf falls into a trap and they get caught. Marmalade hangs them from the ceiling. Mr. Wolf finds out that Mr. Snake now works for Marmalade, who told him Wolf and Diane were coming. The villains leave to carry out their plan. With the help of Wolf’s friends, who now believe in redemption, Diane and Wolf escape the mansion, saving the kitten one lasttime. They steal the meteor, but Wolf plans to give it back to the police. To do that, they need to get Mr. Snake, even if he's a traitor.
Marmalade threatens to throw Snake off his helicopter if Wolf doesn’t return the meteor. Wolf tries to make Marmalade follow through with the deal by using Diane's lipstick blowtorch. He threatens to cut the chain if Marmalade doesn't give up Snake. But Marmalade kicks Snake off the helicopter, letting Wolf take the meteor while the Bad Guys save him. Wolf jumps from the crater with his car to save his friend. Snake makes amends with him, and they hug in mid-air. Wolf saves all his friends with his grappling hook as they fall.
Even though people still think the Bad Guys are evil, Diane tries to defend them and is ready to reveal her secret identity. Wolf decides to protect Foxington's political career and turns himself in, and his friends follow. Marmalade, who was thought to be a good guy for taking back the meteor, gets off scot-free. But Snake reveals that he changed his mind from the start and was never on Marmalade's side. He tricked them into thinking they were still bad so he could get close to him.
In reality, Snake switched the meteor with a lamp and kept the real one at Marmalade's mansion. He started to overload the real meteor, causing it to explode and destroy the manor. The fake meteorfalls on Marmalade, and the Zumpango diamond Diane stole falls out of his pocket, framing him as the Crimson Paw. Everyone finally realizes Marmalade is the real criminal and he gets arrested.
As the group is sent to prison, Wolf reveals he put the push-pop in the fridge earlier to show they had good in them and to make them realize they should help others. Snake is shocked and embarrassed, while the others laugh. A year later, Wolf and his friends are released from jail and return to town. Diane Foxington picks them up, and they ride off to begin their new life as crime-fighting heroes known as the Good Guys.
