Mr. Laverre is a minor antagonist in the Disney book So This Is Love: A Twisted Tale. He is described by Lady Tremaine as “a man from the far seas who makes his trade in troublesome girls”.
Bio[]
In the book, when Cinderella’s stepfamily discover that she was the “mystery princess” from the ball, Lady Tremaine questions her about her ball-gown and accessories. They then discuss why she hated Cinderella, then she locked her in the attic again, telling her daughters about Mr Laverre being in town that day, and her plan on getting him to take Cinderella away.
When Mr Laverre arrived at the chateau, Lady Tremaine takes him up to the attic, and he attempted to get her into his carriage. After a struggle with Bruno, Cinderella’s dog, he managed to do so, but Cinderella managed to get herself out of the carriage, and thus avoided a lifetime of further abuse.
Mr Laverre was not seen or heard of for the rest of the book.
