Mrs. Baker is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Mr. Grady) of The Haunting Hour episode “Checking Out”.

She is Todd’s mother who was a member of The Benefactor Cult.

She was portrayed by Teryl Rothery.

Biography

Background

While most of her life is completley unknown, Mrs Baker had an unknown husband and gave birth to their son named Todd.

Sometime before the events of the episode, Mrs Baker and her son went to thw unknown hotel and were supposed to stay their for the night and leave in the morning. However, she was manipulated by the cult and was them brainwashed into hating children.

The Benefactor

When Jeremy, Chelsea, and their parents first came into the hotel they were greeted by Mrs Baker who quickly had aconversation with their parents.

Jeremy then saw the cult and his parents celebrating while Mrs Baker started smashing a piñata that resembles of her son. Todd meets Jerrmy who infroemd him that he and his mother were supposed to leave agter their stay at the hotel but she then got brainwashed. Todd begged him to leave with him but Jeremy refused. The next day, Jeremy went to go see Todd and he asked his mother about his whereabouts, Mrs Baker said that she doesnt have a son leaving Jeremy confused later suspicious. Jeremy and Chelsea went to look at the documents and realize no one hasnt left the hotel since 1953. They see Todd about to be sacrificed as he begs his mother not to leave him as he apologizes to her for his behavior but gets sent to the afterlife in the process.

Jeremy and Chelsea horrified then later a ee their parents smashing piñatas resembling them. The duo went to paxk their belogngins and leave but before they can do. Jeremy and Chelsea are then taken in which they warned their parents that Mrs Baker had her son Todd sacrificed himself to The Benefactor. Mrs Baker tried justifying that they were both unhappy and was doing it for their own good.

The children convinced their parents that they don't have to give them up. The parents agreed to keep their children, but Mr. Grady decided to let the Benefactor take them all, but before that happened Jeremy took some candles and threw them at the Benefactor causing the hotel and the Benefactor to burn and crash down in flames.
