Mrs. Pomp is a major antagonist in Baldi's Basics Plus.
She is a teacher like Baldi.
She is voiced by game creator Mystman12's sister, Cady McGonigal.
Appearance[]
Mrs. Pomp is a 3D-modeled character with a human head attached to a red high-heeled shoe as her body. She has a blonde pompadour at the very top of her head, hence her name, with wild spring-shaped curls coming out the sides. Her face sports blushing rosy cheeks, red lips, and purple/brown eyes (revealed as shockingly hyper realistic in her HD render).
When angered, her face gets heavily distorted, with a total of six spring hair curls sticking out in all directions. She is also added with shading effects that make her look a lot darker than usual.
Personality[]
Like Baldi, Mrs. Pomp usually has a calm, enthusiastic, happy-go-lucky mood at first as she hops around the school cheerfully.
Despite this, she has a much disturbingly negative side, releasing her rage when her instructions are not followed, by stomping around, screaming and berating violently over her students' tardiness.
Biography[]
Mrs. Pomp is the second teacher of Here School (more precisely at the Super Schoolhouse). Mrs. Pomp will be seen hopping around the halls. When she sees the Protagonist, she will run towards him and tells him to meet at her classroom. She will then make her way to her classroom, and if the map is opened her icon can be seen hopping in it, making sure the Protagonist knows where it is. The player is given a timer of 4 minutes, or 2 minutes in later versions, and told to be at the classroom by the time it runs out.
If successful, the Protagonist will earn 100 You Thought Points, and Mrs. Pomp will resume wandering around the halls. However, if he enter the classroom when time's up, Mrs. Pomp will be waiting at the closed door. After it's opened, Mrs. Pomp will enter, make the Protagonist unable to move and scream. This also happens if you're far away, but she'll pick you up and take you to her class. Once in, she will stomp around and scream for 15 seconds. After that, she returns to her normal behavior until at a later point in the game.
During her outburst, the player has 2 options to escape:
- Using the dangerous teleporter will teleport the player out of the room.
- The grappling hook can be used to get the player moving again, because it is commonly useful for the grapple challenge.
Curiously, in the Grapple Challenge, Mrs. Pomp gives the player 2 minutes to get to her classroom, probably due to the fact that the player can use the grappling hook to get to her class faster.
Trivia[]
- She is the second female canon character in the series, with the first being Playtime, and the second to be a teacher overall.
- Coincidentally, she is also the second character who is a teacher that at first has a friendly demeanor, but turns into a sinister and dangerous threat once the player makes a mistake, with the first being Baldi himself.
- She is the fourth character out of the five characters not to be voiced by mystman12, instead being voiced by Cady Bradshaw. The others being 1st Prize (voiced by Dr. Sbaitso), Chalkles (voice provider still unknown), Beans (voiced by Padre Snowmizzle), and Johnny (also voiced by Cady Bradshaw).
- Before Mrs. Pomp was implemented, Mystman12 got jump-scared by her when she was slowly rendering due to shadows being on. Her render then popped on the screen at once.
- Mystman12 also finds her to be the scariest character. He says that while testing Plus, he freaks out a little bit when Mrs. Pomp spots the player and starts running towards them.
- There is a picture of an HD render of her that was "leaked" in Mystman12's Twitter, and it was later confirmed that this render is a prototype design for her.
- Although she is named "Mrs. Pomp", whom she is married to is currently unknown.
- In the game's asset files, she is referred to as "NoL", standing for "NoLateTeacher" according to the game scripts.
- Her office poster claims she invites students in the plural sense to her class, despite the Protagonist is the only one who is capable of being invited.
