Francis Clara Censordoll, often referred to as Ms. Censordoll, is the overarching antagonist of the Adult Swim stop-motion religious satire black comedy series Moral Orel.
She is a traditionalist and extremist religious fanatic egg-obsessed librarian who plans to take over the town of Moralton. Censordoll uses her position as a librarian to control what people learn, making them into "close-minded sheep" that are easy for her to control and manipulate, including the unstable and corrupt mayor Clay Puppington.
One of Ms. Censordoll's key traits is her power fantasy. Her main goal is to take over the town of Moralton and enforce her many traditionalist views onto it. She is very strategic in doing this, putting the town's citizens into positions where they have to do what she wants either through threats of picketing or manipulation. Being the leader of all the towns protests, she refers to those who work besides her as her soldiers, and she is able to decide who is qualified and who is not qualified to picket along side her (as seen in the episode Help). Even though she has no official title, she operates as though she already has full control over the town, as seen when she slaps Mr. Figurelli and again when she announced to herself that she was the "Matriarch of Moralton".
In terms of the ideals that Ms. Censordoll wants to enforce, she generally believes in old-fashioned biblical morals. However, she also seems to only use religion as a veil for her own agenda, as she is fine with protesting a movie about Jesus and picketing in front of the church. It seems that her main goal is to make everyone generally closed-minded, and/or anything other than a freethinker. She mentioned in a short promo for the show that keeping citizens closed minded makes them into sheep, a term used to refer to those who follows the collective, easily being led in any direction. She has been seen to worship the lord over herself, but she also seems to believe herself to be almost on his level of authority. She has an extreme distain for nudity, most likely because of her mother having removed her reproductive organs when she was only an infant. In addition, she does not believe in modern science and she burns all books that go against the word of the lord.
One of Ms. Censordoll's key traits is her love for eggs. Despite being heavily religious and censoring everything that is even remotely unchristian, she makes an exception for her love of eggs. This love for eggs is obsessive, as she only eats eggs and egg-related products. This obsession, at some points, can also be seen as fetishization. In the episode Alone, she asked her farmer accomplice for her next batch of eggs to be unfertilized, going so far as to allow him to see her body if he went through with her request. In the episode Offensiveness, when eggs where banned, she was seen attending an illegal night club-esque event where she requested her eggs be "o-natural", and then proceeded to sniff the egg while the camera zoomed out of her face.
Ms. Censordoll also has a particularly eloquent manner of speech. She is often seen using uncommon or "big" words when talking. An example of this is when she referred to reverend Putty as "sufficiently pious" when talking about his ignorance of a subject.
Biography[]
The Lord's Greatest Gift[]
In the episode The Lord's Greatest Gift, Orel and Doughy went to the library and found Ms. Censordoll collecting books she believed to have got against her beliefs to later burn. Later in the episode, we see her burning the books, but then noticing the zombie invasion and incited the other burners to attack them with the burning books.
The Blessed Union[]
In the episode The Blessed Union, Orel came to her to ask her about what makes a woman happy. Offended by his question, she asked him where he became curious about the subject. When he told her that Reverend Putty talked about it, she remarked that she would be protesting in front of his church soon. She then dismissed Orel.
Offensiveness[]
In the episode Offensiveness, Ms. Censordoll arrives at Mr. Figurelli's store–as she supposedly did everyday–and asked him to prepare her eggs in a way that would make them extra "slithery". When he was bringing her the eggs she slapped his face and grabbed the plate out of his hands. She then slurped the eggs down in a way that made Doughy want to vomit. Orel later showed up to the library to find her making a picked sign for the upcoming The Greatest Story Ever Told showing.
When Orel told her that there was nothing offensive about that movie, she said that everything could be offensive, and then proceeded to come up with a slogan about how boring the movie was, remarking that God helped her find the inspiration. Orel then asked if he could check out a stack of books, but Ms. Censordoll misunderstood him and thought that he picked them out to burn do to their contradictions to her beliefs, and so she threw them into a fire. She then told him that he seemed to have a skill for picking out the offensive, offered him a pickled egg, and said that she would be taking him under her wing.
Later that day, the two of them along with a bigger group of protestors picketing the movie. Ms. Censordoll shouted at an old woman walking by, and then scolded the ticket-lady for suggesting that she (Ms. Censordoll) and Orel would want to see the movie. She also took offense to the ticket-lady suggesting that she was old, showing her her drivers license that said that she was forty-years-old to the day. When Orel asked her why she never mentioned that it was her birthday, she said that she didn't like to celebrate it. As the day went on, they continued to protest different establishments, until Ms. Censordoll finally dismissed them. Ms. Censordoll was not seen for the rest of the day, but appeared again the next day to find Orel picketing eggs. Although she didn't like this, Orel defeated her with her own logic, and so she was forced to go with it. She was later seen entering an illegal egg-meetup so that she could smell an egg.
Alone[]
In the episode Alone, Ms. Censordoll was one of the three women who's lives the episode focused on. Her segment opened with her listing to Reverend Putty on the radio, remarking on his ignorance of babies being the "Devil's scabies". She is then seen going to pick out an egg from her fridge full of eggs, when she gets a call. She knows it's her mother, so she ignores it because she specifically told her mother not to call her before 9PM. She lies on her bed while the phone rings, but then gets up and dials the number of an accomplice she knew who was a farmer. They both talked about overthrowing the Mayor, and then she asked him for a fertilized egg. She promised him she would let him see her naked, but then told him she had to go because she had to call her mother. Once she got her mother on the phone, the two argued over a couple of things, including Reverend Putty's speech on contraception. She eventually hung up after telling her mother that she (Ms. Censordoll) was holier then her.
She is later seen eating an egg and continuing to listen to Putty on the radio, telling herself that she was the matriarch of Moralton after sticking a yoke on top of the church of the tiny town she had laid out before her.
Help[]
Ms. Censordoll made a brief appearance in a flashback, disappointed that Bloberta was not yet married. She informed Ms. Bloberta that she could not participate in the picket due to her lack of a partner. She was later seen at one of the woman's weddings conducting a protest, telling the bride it was her turn to participate in the picketing.
Nesting[]
She first appeared trying to make Orel give up on his attempt at getting eggs outlawed. After Orel convinced the Mayor to pass the law, Ms. Censordoll decided to manipulate Orel into believing that the Mayor (Orel's dad) was bad and to help her with her campaign. Later that episode, she is seen convincing a crowd of people that the current Mayor was evil and to vote for her instead. At the final campaign, after hearing Clay Puppington's speech, she announced that she was dropping out. She later met with Mr. Puppington at a bar, him being convinced that she caused him to shoot Orel using her "special powers". She then went on to manipulate him into being her puppet, calling herself "mommy". The two ended up making out with each other and sexually rubbing their fingers along an egg she was holding.
Moral Orel Promo[]
Ms. Censordoll was the main character in one of the short promos for Moral Orel. It began with her censoring words in various books such as the Holy Bible, The Autobiography of Lucille Ball and The History of the Hoover Damn. While she was doing this, Stephanie arrived, and asked where she could find a book on evolution. Ms. Censordoll told her it was in the fiction section, but after Stephanie asked her where the fiction section was, Ms. Censordoll began to go on an evil tirade about how she burnt it down with fire to keep the citizens mindless sheep. After this the Missing Link showed up and asked a similar question. Ms. Censordoll told the two of them to get a room, so they agreed and left together. Ms. Censordoll ended the short by telling herself that she regretted paring the two up.
Before Orel[]
In Before Orel, she was first seen walking up to a group of boys and asking them if they were sinning. They told them that they were just torturing Orel, and so she allowed it. After hearing that Orel didn't know who God was, she asked herself how he fell through the cracks and walked away.
She appeared again to talk to Orel in her office with Reverend Putty. She told Orel about the story of Abraham, and that Orel must stop trying to prove that God exists. She told Orel that instead he needed to prove himself to God, and then dismissed him after getting her point across.
Cameos[]
Ms. Censordoll was seen in a few episodes where she played no major role. In Maturity, she was seen among other town citizens at the local bar. In the episode Be Fruitful and Multiply, she was seen leaving the church. In the episode Geniusis, she was apart of a mob of people that went after the Missing Link. In the episode Orel's Movie Premiere, she was apart of a group of people whom went to see Orel's movie.
Powers & Abilities[]
Inciting fear via picketing - Ms. Censordoll has the ability to incite a kind of fear in the citizens of Moralton that pressure them into doing her bidding. This was first seen in the episode Offensiveness, where she received eggs for free just so she wouldn't protest and ruin Mr. Figurelli's business.
Instant picketing phrase creation - Ms. Censordoll has the ability to instantly come up with any phrase that will allow her to picket just about anything. She is able to do this in an almost supernatural way, as seen in the episode Offensiveness when she was able to focus hard enough and then write a protest in a manner of seconds. She claimed that God gave the ability to do this, implying that he spoke through her when she came up with them.
Manipulation - Ms. Censordoll is able to manipulate in an almost hypnotic fashion. When planning to overthrow the Mayor, she gave Orel a lecture about all the ways the Mayor is bad, rubbing his face and causing him to go into a hypnotic trance. After she left, he continued to stay in his trance and mumble some of the words she spoke to him.

Ms. Censordoll's last name is a mix of the English words "censored" and "all".
Despite having grey hair, Ms. Censordoll is only about forty years old, turning exactly forty in the episode Offensiveness.
She formerly had black hair instead of grey, as seen during a flashback. It could be seen that a strand of her hair was beginning to turn grey as well.
Ms. Censordoll has a deep hatred for her mother. This is mainly shown in the episode Alone, where she refuses to take a call from her mother minutes before her specified time. While on the phone with her, she angrily argued and remarked on how her mother had her reproductive organs removed.
Mrs. Censordoll's drivers license revealed a lot of her personal information. According to the license, she lives at 1323 Righteous Way Moralton Statesona, and her zip code is 072313. It also revealed that she is 5 feet 6 inches tall, and she weighs about 115 pounds.
Ms. Censordoll’s initials are F.C.C, the acronym for the Federal Communications Commission. This may be a nod at the F.C.C.’s censorship of their regulated media.
Before the series' cancellation, it was going to be revealed that Ms. Censordoll used voodoo to influence Clay into shooting Orel during the events of "Nature". This was briefly hinted at in Clay's dream in the prologue of "Nesting".
Another plan was to have Censordoll seduce Clay and usurp his position.
