Multiverse Nitros Oxides are major antagonists in the mobile game Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!, serving as the main antagonists of Season 4, "Survival of the Fastest". They are an assembly of four versions of Nitros Oxide from the multiverse, who arrived on Earth to once again challenge it to a race.
Biography[]
Every once in a while, Nitros Oxides from all over the multiverse choose a world to race on. During "Survival of the Fastest", they once again chose Earth for this purpose and imposed several challenges on Crash and Coco, from tasking them to collect ingredients to fighting them directly. At the end of the season, Nitro Nitros Oxide claimed that all the challenges were just tests to see if the bandicoots were worthy to compete against him and his counterparts, and that the results showed that the Oxides won. Nevertheless, the aliens left soon after.

Frosty Nitros Oxide[]
Frosty Nitros Oxide has an icy blue color palette. When providing challenges for the player, he feels confident that he'll be the fastest to collect the ingredients.
Inferno Nitros Oxide[]
Inferno Nitros Oxide has a fiery red color palette. When challenging the player, he dismisses his Nitro and Frosty counterparts as weak compared to him.
Oxide Nitros Oxide[]
Oxide Nitros Oxide has an acid purple color palette. He considers all his counterparts slow and believes that neither they nor the player could complete his challenges.
Trivia[]
- Originally, Sapphire, Gold and Platinum variants of Nitros Oxide were meant to appear alongside the original Oxide in Season 4. Sprites and text corresponding to them were found in the game files.
