Mummies are corpses reanimated and preserved through the centuries through dark and secret rituals.

The mummification process consists of maintaining the body, preventing its deterioration and may be natural; if corpse has been preserved in a rarefied atmosphere, for example, in a dense swamp, or artificial; if the corpse has been preserved through magical potions and ointments.
The process of reanimating the mummy is jealously guarded by priests and shamans who worship dark desert gods.
The resulting mummy is usually completely wrapped in funerary bandages that cover a dry, dark-colored body. In fact, the word mummy comes from the Persian mummia, which means bitumen.
During the reanimation rituals the mummy is linked to a certain tomb or temple, which it will protect for life, and its actions are directed by the spirits and magical energies used during said ritual. Mummies are, therefore, the eternal guardians of tombs.
