Mummipokey is a minor antagonist in the Super Mario Franchise. He debuted as a boss in New Super Mario Bros. in the Koopa Troop being ordered by Bowser Jr. to take Mario out.

Mummipokey is a mummified Pokey with red spikes, along with a weird looking jaw.

Biography

New Super Mario Bros.

Mummipokey's first (and only) appearance was in New Super Mario Bros. When Mario/Luigi reach the end of the World 2 castle, Mummipokey pops out of the ground, and then the boss battle starts. Mummipokey attacks by popping out of the ground in various places and by spitting projectile balls. Mummipokey can be jumped. If Mario/Luigi jump on Mummipokey's head, he will dig back into the ground and then pop up into the ground. This repeats until Mummipokey is defeated (always 3 hits). After Mummipokey is defeated Mario/Luigi can gain access to World 3 or World 4 if Mario/Luigi defeats Mummipokey in Mini form.

Trivia

• The Mummipokey is the first major boss that is a species of Pokes, the second is the Tower Power Pokey from Paper Mario: Sticker Star.
