“ | You bastards! You vicious heartless bastards! Look what you've done to him! He's worked his fingers to the bone to make this place what it is! And you come in here with your petty, vicious, heartless quibbling, and you grind him into the dirt! This fine, honorable man whose boots you are not worthy to kiss! Oh... it makes me mad! | „ |
~ Mungo berating the customers |
Mungo is the angry cook from Monty Python's Dirty Fork sketch. The waiters at a restaurant are going insane, flipping out, and patheticly apologizing because a customer told them about a dirty fork. Mungo the Cook came in and gave a long and angry speech about the fork, because he thought that the customer destroyed their lives. He goes insane and tries to kill the customer with a meat cleaver, but is stopped by the headwaiter. He continues to rage, rant, and try to murder the costumer until the sketch ends.
He is portrayed by John Cleese, who also portrayed Robber, Mr. Hilter, The Customer, and the Narrator of "How Not to be Seen" in the same series, as well as Black Knight and French Taunter in Monty Python & the Holy Grail, High Priest in The Life of Brian, Eric's Assistant in Monty Python & the Meaning of Life, Cat R. Waul in An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, Dr. Glickenstein in Trolls, and King Gristle Sr. in Trolls.
