Muniel is a major antagonist in the Sand Land franchise. He serves as the main antagonist of the game and the Angelic Hero arc of the anime adaptation.
He is an angel that came from the heaven with the intent of eliminating demons on Sand Land. He is also the archenemy of Beelzebub and Ann.
He was voiced by Ayumu Murase.
Personality[]
He is described as a self-righteous and delusional angel who believes that all demons are evil and must be exterminated. He doesn't even see the fact the demons are not doing anything evil as they are minding their own business of living peacefully in the village of Sand Land. He is also a liar that made the people of Forest Land believe that he is a hero after overthrowing King Jam.
He has no qualm of hurting humans in Sand Land just to exterminate demons, which even made Bred disturbed by his ruthlessness. Unlike Bred, Muniel is highly cruel and abusive towards his soldiers as he would use them as meat shields and sacrifice them to gain more power. Plus Muniel is very uncaring towards his allies and the citizens of Forest Land and is willing to depose of them after they are no longer useful to him; especially after gaining Garam and later absorbing all the Aquanium.
Muniel is also a massive hypocrite and despite claiming that he is a "hero", he abuses his powers in hurting other people rather than help them and shows no honor in battle.
All of these negative traits makes him a very dangerous, bloodthirsty, hypocritical and narcissistic psychopath who believes everything he does is right. So in a way, Muniel is the complete opposite of Beelzebub.
History[]
He was an angel that was tasked to do menial labor of sorting packages on the shelve. He was tired of the work that eventually, he decided to leave heaven with some artifacts to go down to the demon village in the Sand Land, despite the fact that there is a peace treaty for angels and demons to never have conflict. He confronted Lucifer to fight him.

Then, Muniel decided to use the magic staff to destroy Lucifer's television, and this anger the latter that he punished the former by destroying his wing and sent him flying all the way and crush land to Forest Land, where Commander Bred met.
Around ten years ago, He and Bred formed a coup d'état to overthrow King Jam and Queen Lilith, who is a demon and daughter of Lucifer allowing himself to be the king and being declared as the hero of Forest Land with King Jam in prison and Queen Lilith being sealed in an urn. However, Princess Ann, who is a half-demon, escaped with the help of King Jam’s loyalist, Lango. However, the messenger angel arrives to inform Muniel that the archangel, who’s displeased for his heinous acts, wants him to answer for his crimes, while Beezlebub continues to taunt Muniel, who realized that he is in big trouble. Muniel is arrested by the archangels and sentenced to do 1000 years of community service by doing menial labor, while being supervised by an angel to prevent him from leaving heaven again, much to his horror.
