Furthermore, Musashi remains serious most of the time. However, he is able to get excited easily, as during the battle on Ganryujima he was excited to continue fighting Kojiro Sasaki, and during the Third Round he cheered for him the entire time. He respects and adores Kojiro Sasaki as a rival, and cried after his victory against Poseidon.

Biography[]

Musashi Miyamoto is a Japanese swordsman, philosopher, strategist, writer and Rōnin of the Edo Period, who wrote the books "Book of Five Rings" and "Dokkōdō", considered sacred texts for all swordsmen, and who went down in history as Humanity's greatest swordsman. On April 13, 1612, on Ganryujima, Musashi Miyamoto faces Kojiro Sasaki, who, despite managing to cause a double scar on his opponent's face, understands that he cannot beat him, nevertheless chooses not to give up because he feels that he would regret abandoning the match for the rest of his life. Musashi, struck by his words, agrees to continue the fight and, in the end, manages to defeat and kill Kojiro Sasaki, although he remains sorry that he had to do so.

About four hundred years after his death, during the Ragnarok Tournament, Musashi Miyamoto remains in the stands to watch the Third Round, initially doubtful about the choice to have Kojiro Sasaki fight in his place, however as soon as he sees Kojiro's skills Musashi destroys his texts sacred, supported by his adopted son Iori Miyamoto claiming that they are no longer necessary, as it was Kojiro Sasaki who reached the peak of swordsmen and not him. During the battle, Musashi encourages Kojiro by also explaining to Iori that Kojiro fights using his techniques and those of all his previous opponents, and in the end Musashi celebrates Kojiro Sasaki's victory over Poseidon .

During the Tenth Round, Musashi watches the match in the stands together with Kojiro Sasaki and Hrist, noticing together with his friend-rival the fighting styles of both Soji Okita and Susano'o no Mikoto and ultimately witnessing the victory of Okita, who manages to defeat and kill Susano'o.

A supreme technique developed by Musashi with this style, and which can be used with a single long sword, consists of dodging the enemy's attack and, immediately afterwards, tearing him to pieces with a single hidden blow. He has an undefeated record in his 61 duels and is considered a Kensei, a Sword Saint of Japan, as well as the strongest swordsman in the history of Humanity, although the latter title is revealed to be incorrect during the Ragnarok Tournament.
