Markus "Mark" Sebastian Grayson, also known as Mustachible, is a minor antagonist in the Image Comics comic series Invincible, and its animated adaptation of the same name.
He was a variant of Invincible who, much like many other alternate versions of Invincible, became a supervillain and joined the Viltrum Empire. He was a part of the other Evil Invincibles assembled by Angstrom Levy.
He was voiced by Steven Yeun, who also played all the other Evil Invincibles, A. Traveler in The Twilight Zone, Ricky "Jupe" Park in Nope, and Danny Cho in Beef.
Appearance[]
His appearance is the same as the main Invincible, though he donnes a thin, angled painters brush mustache, traditionally worn by Viltrum Empire males, wearing a costume modelled almost entirely off the Viltrum Empire uniform save for the "I"-shaped chest logo and its darker undertones.
Personality[]
His personality is largely unknown, as he does not speak a word during his appearance. However, it can be presumed he is pragmatic and ruthless, and he generally exhibits cold, harsh and stoic expressions befitting a Viltrumite warrior. He has clearly supported his father in his plot to take over Earth, and has fully adopted his heritage - including the signature mustache, the aforementioned demeanor, and a uniquely designed Viltrumite uniform in which many higher-ranking soldiers of the Viltrum Empire may have.
Biography[]
Trivia[]
- This is the 5th evil Invincible to appear in the series.
- Mustachible is the last Invincible variant to die in the Invincible war.
- In the comics, Mustachible fought the heroine Ultra instead of Tech Jacket, though he suffered a similar fate with Mustachible killed in battle. Ironically, in both of his appearances, the only parts of the fights we see are the very beginning and the aftermath.
- In both the show and comics, Mustachible donned a uniquely designed Viltrumite uniform, but due to the fact that the Viltrum attire was completely redesigned in the animated series, they appear to be completely different.
- This variants facial hair was altered multiple times throughout different scenes/panels in both the show and comics, with it changing from a chevron mustache to a pencil mustache in the comics, and in the show, from a lampshade mustache to a thin and sharp painter's brush mustache.
