~ Daddy No Legs defending Muzzle when the latter argues with Jet Jack. |
Muzzle is a minor antagonist of Season 9: Hunted of LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu. He is one of the many Dragon Hunters that were led by Iron Baron.
Unlike most Hunters, Muzzle doesn't pronounce clear words and instead speaks with intelligible gibberish. The known Hunters who understand him are Jet Jack, his friend Daddy No Legs, and Iron Baron himself.
He is voiced by Brent Miller, despite only speaking in a gibberish-like way.
Biography[]
Hunted[]
Radio Free Ninjago[]
Muzzle first appeared when Iron Baron told him to gas up the Dieselnaut, something Muzzle was already doing. When Muzzle replied with his gibberish, Iron Baron scolded back telling him to quit his "jibber-jabbering." Heavy Metal appeared next to him explaining that Baron is always in mood before a hunt since he fears to come across Firstbourne. He then participated as one of the Hunters
Muzzle appeared around the campfire with the other Hunters during the night for a hunt, listening to Jet Jack story about Iron Baron's goal. After the approaching and attack of a Wind Dragon, Muzzle jumped on one of the vehicles and chased the Dragon until Heavy Metal managed to bring it down.
How to Build a Dragon[]
Muzzle appeared alongside Daddy No Legs inside the Dieselnaut when the Hunters returned to Dead's End with the captured Dragons. In a radio that was presumably his, Lloyd's message of the Resistance was repeating over and over. He tried to fix it as requested by Daddy No Legs since he was getting annoyed by it.
At the feast, Muzzle was among the many Hunters who assisted Iron Baron as he was about to burn the Wind Dragon alive until they were interrupted by Wu piloting the fake Firstbourne. The Hunters believed it was Firstbourne and attacked it until the real Firstbourne appeared and attacked the Dead's End. When the ninja tried to free the Wind Dragon, Daddy No Legs intercepted them with his group of Hunters, Muzzle being one of them. After Cole revealed his disguise saying he was a ninja. Muzzle is briefly confused, before Daddy No Legs orders the Hunters to attack them. Iron Baron and other Hunters appeared with the fake Firstbourne's head and ordered the ninja to be captured only for the Wind Dragon, who was freed by Kai, to blow them away with its wind breath.
The Gilded Path[]
Muzzle as well as Daddy No Legs appeared as the only Hunters in the episode aside from Heavy Metal, who was revealed to be Faith. They managed to catch up with the ninja with their speeders, but Faith managed to use her Heavy Metal identity and fake that she captured the ninja. While Daddy No Legs seems happy to know and was about to tell the "good news" to Iron Baron, Muzzle noted something different when spotting Wu. He noticed how he was different in size and proceeded to explain to Daddy No Legs. While the latter was confused at first, he ended up agreeing with Muzzle and tried to figure it out, only for him and Muzzle to be tied up and have their speeders stolen by the ninja.
Two Lies, One Truth[]
When Iron Baron and the rest of the Hunters found Daddy No Legs and Muzzle tied in the desert, the former said that he would do the talking. However Muzzle told Iron Baron what happened to them and that Heavy Metal helped the ninja, enraging Baron. Daddy No Legs and Muzzle were later untied off-screen.
The Weakest Link[]
Muzzle, after being untied, now served as the pilot of the Dieselnaut's Chain turret. When Iron Baron said to Jet Jack that however captures Faith (after they knew she was actually female) gets the position of Number Two, Daddy No Legs told Muzzle that he could be the Number Two.
When the ninja boarded the Dieselnaut, Wu confronted Muzzle briefly before knocking him out of the Dieselnaut.
Saving Faith[]
Muzzle was around the campfire celebrating the capture of the ninja and Faith along with Daddy No Legs, Iron Baron and the other Hunters. He witnessed Faith's attempt at exposing Baron's lies and true nature, Wu fighting the Hunters and later Baron and Wu's departure to Firstbourne's nest.
Lessons for a Master[]
After Iron Baron and Wu departed for the Dragon Armor, the Hunters argued whether to help the ninja or not. While one group was with Jet Jack, Muzzle was the other group's representative. When Jet Jack tried to speak, Muzzle argued back (still in his gibberish) with Jet Jack replying "Come on!" Daddy No Legs defended Muzzle, telling Jet Jack that Muzzle was just saying what the Hunters of his group were thinking. In the end, they agree on releasing the ninja and decide to stop Iron Baron, but it was too late as the bridge Baron and Wu crossed already collapsed.
When Firstbourne emerged, the Hunters were afraid and tried to flee but soon learned that Wu was riding it, telling them that Iron Baron is gone. Muzzle and the rest of the Hunters witnessed the ninja's departure from the Realm of Oni and Dragons.
March of the Oni[]
Endings[]
Muzzle appeared in Faith's flashback when she told about the Omega's arrival on the First Realm. He was seen riding a Fire Dragon in an attempt to fight the Oni, but failed and froze due to the darkness' effect.
He, as well as the other Hunters, unfroze after the Oni's defeat.
Personality[]
Not much of Muzzle's personality is known due to the fact that he doesn't speak clear words. He can, however, show personality through facial gestures. When Cole revealed that he was a ninja, Muzzle gets confused as if he doesn't know the word "ninja." He's apparently good at arguing despite his gibberish.
He is also shown to have good perception, as he noticed how Wu, after seeing him again, was older than he was moments ago.

Trivia[]
- The word "Muzzle" (also called a mouth guard) is a term that refers to a device that is place over the snout of an animal (most commonly dogs) in order to prevent them from biting or barking
- This could apply is some sense to Muzzle himself, since he can't speak full words, as if he had an unseen muzzle on his mouth.
