~ Mystery Burns |
Mystery Burns a major antagonist in the game Doll Eye developed by Dreamsteed.
He lives in an abandoned hospital where he traps anyone who enters inside and treats them like his "patients". He claims it's his job to make his patients happy, which he does by injecting sad patients with an unknown drug called "happy juice". Mystery also ends up killing most of his patients, and commits many acts of violence against them such as tying them up or locking them in rooms, threating and manipulating them, and physically harming anyone who tries to leave or breaks the rules. He also eats his patient's corpses, or makes "arts and crafts" with them.
In Doll Eye chapter 2 Mystery is the main antagonist, trapping the main characters Alfred and Kao in his hospital and keeping them as his patients.
History[]
Mystery Burns was once Victor Burns, the child of successful fashion CEO Stranger Burns and model Lilly Burns. As a child he was abused by his parents and held to unrealistic standards in hopes of one day inheriting his father's company. When Victor was around 12 his mother died, leading to his father to become even more harsh and abusive to him. Later on in their twenties they identified as Pastery Burns, a non-binary aspiring magician. Pastery becomes obsessed with an unknown character, and eventually ends up in a hospital due to unknown circumstances, where it is heavily implied she was mistreated and abused. After Pastery is implied to have killed themselves they come back as Mystery Burns, a genderfluid "doctor" who occupies an abandoned hospital and traps whoever enters inside, calling them his "patients" and claiming it's his job to take care of them.
Roles[]
He makes an upcoming role as a overarching major antagonist in Doll Eye chapter 2.

Personality[]
“ | I think the issue lays in the fact that you feel so powerless and out of control that you put up this aggressive attitude out of fear of being hurt again | „ |

Mystery's personality is often described using different versions of themselves that they draw called "Moisty"
Yellow Moisties are sometimes called "Joyous" and represent Mystery's happy personality. This is the personality most often seen by other people as Mystery acts very childish and attempts to make everyone else around him happy. He is focused on being a good doctor and can be seen drawing, hosting puppet shows or clown acts, and playing games with his patients to make them happy. However this personality can often be seen as unsettling as Mystery still acts cheerful and happy even when his patients are visibly distressed.
Blue Moisties are sometimes called "Beautiful" and represent Mystery's addictions such as self harm, over or under eating, sleeping too much or too little, abusing various substances, and indulging in (consensual) sexual behaviors. This personality has not been seen interacting with any "patients" and may only be how Mystery acts when he believes he is alone.
Red Moisties, sometimes called "Angry" represent Mystery's anger and violent outbursts. He is very violent and will torture or kill patients and destroy anything around him. This personality immediately comes out if Mystery finds out someone has been lying to him.
White Moisties, sometimes called "Me" represent Mystery's depressive personality. Widely considered his "real" personality, he barely speaks or interacts with anyone and is often shown with no emotion at all.
These personalities can overlap, and are sometimes confused with DID, however it has been repeatedly stated is Mystery does not have DID and should not be compared to people with DID.
