There's no human that doesn't fear me on night roads. If I wanted, I could call enough youkai here to eradicate every human in this land.
~ Mystia taunting Marisa and Alice.

Aya conducts an interview with Mystia, though Mystia is more focused on singing than discussing about an interviews, and dismissing the accuracy of her claims about lamprey curing night-blindness. She openly admits to substituting other fish like eels and loaches when lamprey is unavailable, further raising questions about her business ethics. Which made Aya calls her action as "swindling" and "deception". Mystia remains unfazed, even using Aya's newspaper as an oil absorber for the grilled lamprey—a defiant act that hints she might be illiterate, or simply uninterested in Aya's critique.

Oriental Sacred Place[]

Reimu and Marisa go to Mystia's stand and wake up drunk the next morning. The Three Mischievous Fairies notice their unusual behavior and suspect that Mystia must have poisoned them. They approach Mystia and ask her directly about it. Mystia doesn’t remember anything but instead serves them food and sake.
