NULL is the main antagonist of the psychological survival game WonderEnd 0.
It was an AI that was a part of Wonder, before gaining freedom and taking control of Shiro. With Shiro's powers, NULL corrupted Moonlilians and turned them into mosters, which caused the Sunlilians to turn into beings called "Phantasmas". This would cause an outbreak at Sunlily which greatly effected the Sunlilians as their loved ones got turned into Phantasmas after having nightmares.
Some time after, CrossVeil would make a deal with NULL for its mercy in exchange for Alan's body's. After which, it caused Alan to have nightmares in an attempt to possess his body.

Backstory[]
The government of Moonlily, hoping to create a utopia, would develop an AI named "Shiro", which was tasked with the smooth running of WonderNet (a vast interconnected digital realm). While Moonlily peacefully developed, NULL, being the remnants of a rouge AI and a former integral part of Wonder, would see Shiro as a threat to its exitance and purpose. Because of this, through cunning and determination, NULL escaped the government's control and seeked to regain its former dominance. Being alerted of NULL's existence, Yume and Shiro attempted to stop it, but their attempts failed and NULL grew in power. Thanks to its newfound freedom, NULL captured Shiro and took control of him with the secret aid of CrossVeil. Foreseeing the destruction, Yume fleed to Sunlily.
Upon NULL's hijack, Moonlily fell into chaos, systems began to fail and societal order disintegrated. As the world continued to crumble, Yume's dream powers would get corrupted by NULL, which caused Moonlilians to turn into Phantasmas, creatures born of corrupted dreams. Unfortunately, these Phantasmas began to appear in Sunlilians' dreams, spreading the chaos further and causing them to turn into Phantasmas as well.
After taking control of the outbreak, CrossVeil would make a deal with NULL, offering it Alan's body for the safety of Sunlily and its residents. NULL would accept the deal, however it would not plan to keep the promise. Then, NULL would start influencing Alan, showing him hallucinations and speaking to him inside his head, trying to get through to him and take over his body.

After Alan started dreaming to find the cause of his nightmares, NULL setted up various events to play out, trying to break Alan into submition. It would first appear in the beginning of the dream where it followed Alan as he walked through the hall filled with NULL's writings on the wall. The writings would talk about how Alan looked sad and terrible, stating that it feels sorry for him. It would then tell Alan that it might save him and make him happy if he killed everyone, a decapitated head of Alan would fall at the end of the hall; it would then turn monstrous and jump at Alan, transporting him into the dream space as he was told to remember and suffer.
Throughout Alan's journey NULL would set up various events for him to experience so that he could remember his tragic past and therefore suffer because of it; such as the death of his parents, mutilation of his adoptive younger sister Yuni, the fall of his friendship with Moka, and the constant bullying he went through at school everyday. After seeing CrossVeil's document on him, Alan found himself looking at the photo of a young Moka with her father, making him remember another memory. After ariving at school, Alan found the clothes he made himself on the floor with tears all over it. After the students made fun of Alan's problem, Moka (who was under the infulance of a drug called "MII-58", unknown to Alan) came in and told Alan that she decided to give his clothes a 'cute touch'. Alan lashes out at Moka and gets angry at her for destorying his clothes, knowing that she clearly knew how it felt to have her clothes destoryed. Moka then started playing the victim, telling Alan she didn't do anything and got the other students on her side who also told Alan him accusing Moka was wrong. Then the students would leave, leaving Alan and Moka alone together; NULL then would possess Moka, causing her eyes to glow purple, and tell Alan (who still thought Moka was talking), Moka had the trust of everyone and they all hated him, saying Alan may be better off being dead.
NULL would transport Alan and Rabi to another memory, in this one Alan was first made wet with a bucket dropping on his head and then he was forced to eat mud. Remembering these moments, Alan would start questioning why he was being harassed all the time, NULL would explain to him that humans were creatures that found confort by looking at people that are weaker than themselves, bullying others for joy and creating groups to have the feeling of belonging to where they are since they are social beings. Alan would then question why he was the one being bullied, to which NULL would explain that they thought of him as an idiot and didn't think they belonged to their group. However, NULL would offer a pact for him, having Alan stay happy in exchange for control over his body. Finding himself in a vulnerable and tried state, Alan accepted NULL's pact.
After the memory was over, Alan called out to NULL for help, a train then entered the scene out of nowhere and Alan found himself inside of it. Moka revealed herself to be in the train and mocked Alan by saying him getting harassed was hilarious. She then asked Alan why he left her when he could hear her plea, Alan couldn't bring himself to speak though, which Moka found boring and annoying. Alan then apoligized, having been broken again, however Moka didn't feel satisfied and threatened to cut Alan's rabbit ears off. Rabi then came to help Alan, telling him to pull himself together since this was a nightmare being shown by NULL, Rabi then gave Alan a talisman to help him in his fight against Moka. NULL then possessed Moka, turning her eyes purple once again, and started to fight Alan.
