“ | Oh, daddy! I need a new dress! This one got filthy from lying on the street! | „ |
~ Nadira telling her father that she wants a new dress after her old one got dirty from lying on the street when ambushing the rangers. |
Nadira is a major antagonist turned supporting protagonist in Power Rangers Time Force and Power Rangers Wild Force.
She is Ransik's obnoxious pink-haired daughter, who loves being told how beautiful she is. She would much rather run than fight, but when necessary, she can extend her fingernails to use as weapons, and fire a blaster which matches her outfit quite nicely. Nadira is obsessed with 21st century fashion, frequently stealing clothing and jewelry. Her liberation of a captured mutant usually serves her own materialistic needs.
Biography[]
Days of Villainy[]
Through unknown methods, Ransik gained a daughter named Nadira who aided him in his earlier plots in Millennium City. It is not clear weather he had her by a woman or if he had her asexually. One possibility is that Ransik adopted her, but then as they are both humanoid mutants it is more likely they are biologically father and daughter. Nadira engineered Ransik's escape from custody, lying down on the ground and pretending to be injured. She aided her father's raid on the Cryo prison and prevented the mutant Gluto from being cryogenically frozen. Along with Ransik, Frax, and Gluto, she traveled back to the year 2001.
Once they arrived to the 21st century, the mutants placed their Cryo-Base in the swamp and were creating multiple plans and schemes of destroying Silver Hills, destroying the Yime Force Rangers and conquering the Earth of 21st century. However, most of their schemes were foiled by Rangers and the villains were rarely successful in their schemes.
Nadira seemed to be quite affectionate with Circuit after she captured him in "Short-Circuited" in order to not allow the Rangers summon their Time Zords, whileshe would attack and destroy the city with her mutant Medicon.
Nadira believed the only way to have true power in this century was to have lots of money and business power, and she frequently tries to accumulate more cash through extortion or theft rather than through honest means like lending. However, she is always defeated by the Time Force Power Rangers. A running gag on the show was that Gluto had a crush on her and would try to woo her, but to no avail.
Change of Heart[]
In the last episodes of the series, as Nadira, Gluto and the Cyclobots hunt down Frax, Nadira spots a clothing store and decides to do a little "Shopping". Trip shows up alone to stop her, and the Xybrian takes on the mutant. But, when a woman goes into labor, Trip stops to help her and forces Nadira to help the woman deliver her baby. Nadira emerges from the dressing room with the newborn, a little girl, who she calls beautiful. Trip tells her that humans can't be all that bad, and Nadira agrees with him. After playing with human children, Nadira questions her supposed hatred for them. Nadira goes to an imprisoned Frax for answers. He tells her that hate is a vicious cycle propagated by humans and mutants. Nadira explains that she doesn't feel hate towards humans anymore, but Frax denies that. As Frax is taken away in chains, Nadira apologizes for what her father did to him and calls him by his real name, Dr. Ferricks. He sees a spark of goodness in Nadira, and urges her to break the cycle. As Nadira tries to make Ransik stop the hate, he scolds her for mourning over Frax, and knocks her down. When a baby, a little boy, was left behind during the attack, she decided to keep him safe and try to find its parents. While doing that, she is accidentally wounded by Ransik, mistaking her for Pink Ranger Jen and only then did he listen to her.
Fate[]
Upon returning to the past, Nadira faced a more lenient punishment for her crimes. She was either incarcerated for only a short time, or placed in some kind of community service program, since she ended up working with children. She accompanied Ransik and the other Time Force Rangers in the Power Rangers Wild Force team-up episode to help them fight the Mut-Orgs. When Ransik accompanied the Rangers to the past to help them fight the Mutorgs, Nadira went along as well, and after the Mutorgs were defeated, she was later seen walking and holding hands with Lucas, hinting that they might begin dating.
HyperForce[]
By 3016, Nadira is engaged to Joe Shih, the Time Force Silver Ranger, and works with her father at the Mutant Rehabilitation Program. She and Joe wed shortly after his return to the 31st Century from an undercover mission.
Personality[]
During her villainous period, Nadira was shown to be extremely obnoxious, egotistical, greedy and self-centered. She was obsessed with money, thefts and wealth and was willing to do anything to accomplish the goals of her father and their race, the mutants of taking over the Earth and achieving the global dictatorship of the mutants over the humanity. She was even ruthless, violent and sadistic and enjoyed robbing people in Silver Hills and endangering the lives of citizens, even children, just to obtain more money. She was willing to commit murder, kidnapping, theft and destruction, showing zero morality and no remorse for her crimes, making her a sociopath and criminal, much like her father. While she was slightly inferior in cruelty and treachery than her father, but she still was a highly despicable and sadistic sociopath, who enjoyed hurting and tomenting the innocent people. Only later near the finale of the season, Nadira realized what abhorrent and depraved sociopath she was and so her father was and had a change of heart.
The first time Nadira realized her sins abd crimes was when she helped a pregnant woman save her baby and later unsuccessfully tried to convince her father to stop his insane hatred of humans. The first time it was unsuccessful because Ransik was consumed by the hatred of humans, but later when Ransik witnessed that he hurt his own daughter, Nadira finally managed to convince her father to have a change of heart and change his treatment of humanity, making him finally understand that mutants and humans had much in common. This time it was successful and they both had a change of heart. Also, Nadira's another significant trait is her affection to Lucas, they once had a date during the series and there are implications during Nadira's final appearance that they again started dating, and this time Nadira's feelings wete genuine.
