Nanman Tribe are the antagonists in the 14th-century Chinese classic novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms by the late Luo Guanzhong, and its multiple adaptations. They are a group of insurgents during the Three Kingdoms period. "Nanman" is actually an umbrella term that refers to the tribes that once lived in the area, but the games often combines all of these tribes into one faction. Their indigenous region was located in southwestern China, specifically near Shu in modern fiction.

History

Meng Huo was nominated for their new leader, and they together resisted Zhuge Liang's suppression of the army. What followed was a series of victories, failures and exits from both sides of the conflict. Many people have their own theories, who have the advantage, but the exact details and consequences of their conflict are unknown. Only Hanjin Chunqiu said that Zhuge Liang defeated Meng Huo's troops seven times, but this account does not match other records.

Under the leadership of Meng Huo, according to Sima Yi's suggestion, Cao Pi first contacted the population to attack Shu. An army led by Zhuge Liang invaded Nanman. The Prime Minister plans to defeat and release his opponent seven times to win the trust of the Horde. After many failures and battles, Meng Huo invested their sympathy and submitted. Knowing that they were allowed to remain independent, they respected Zhuge Liang's kindness and established a temple to commemorate him.

When Zhuge Liang arrived at Lake Dian, the instigators were suppressed. He appointed two brave warriors from the conflict to assist Meng Huo, who was appointed as a pastor after the conflict.
