~ Dumont's most famous line |
Natalie Dumont, aka Belladonna, is a minor antagonist of the Mercy Killers arc in Law & Order: Organized Crime, appearing in the episode "Streets is Watching". She is an assassin affiliated with the Marcy Killers street gang, hired by crime lord Preston Webb's wife Cassandra to kill Detective Elliot Stabler.
She was portrayed by Adrienne Walker.
Early life[]
Orphaned at a young age, Dumont spent her formative years in Puglia, Italy, and served as an Army Ranger. After her military service, she decided to use her extensive training to work for herself as an assassin with the street name "Belladonna". She frequently worked for the Marcy Killers, a street gang run by crime lord Preston Webb.
Appearances[]
"Streets is Watching"[]
Dumont is hired by Webb's wife Cassandra to kill NYPD Organized Crime Squad Detective Elliot Stabler, who is investigating her husband. Dumont begins her work by spying on Stabler's house and family to learn his routine.
One night, Dumont takes a shot at Stabler while he is leaving a meeting with Frank Donnelly, a corrupt cop he is investigating undercover, but misses. Stabler's partner Sergeant Ayanna Bell, Detective Carmen Riley, and technician Jet Slootmaekers alert him to the contract out on his life, and Slootmaekers manages to find out the identity of the assassin by tracing communications between Dumont and Cassandra.
After Slootmaekers tracks Dumont's cell phone, she directs Stabler to her apartment. Stabler goes there to arrest Dumont, but she is waiting for him and engages him in brutal hand-to-hand combat. They ultimately end up on the roof, where Dumont leaps onto a passing bus, flashing a sarcastic peace sign to Stabler as she rides away.
After Stabler sends his family away to keep them safe, Dumont breaks into his house and waits for him to return. When he does, she once again attacks him, and in the ensuing struggle she inflicts a deep scratch on his necks and all but destroys his living room. Finally, Stabler manages to subdue Dumont by pushing her through a window, knocking her unconscious, and arrests her.
Stabler interrogates Dumont, and tells her that he can make her life easier if she tells him what he needs to know about the Marcy Killers. Dumont agrees, and supplies him with information that Stabler and Bell use to dismantle the gang and arrest Cassandra. Dumont is then presumably given a plea bargain for a lesser sentence.
