The story of Mayura from Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Pre-series / Season 1[]
Though Mayura herself was absent during this time, her civilian identity, Nathalie, was usually seen at the Agreste mansion alongside her boss Gabriel Agreste and Adrien's bodyguard.
Season 2[]
In "The Collector", it is revealed that Nathalie is aware that Gabriel Agreste is Hawk Moth when she asks the latter why he went after the book which Adrien had lost earlier if he already had another one, to which Gabriel answers that he had to hide his secret identity from Ladybug and Cat Noir.
In "Style Queen", Nathalie goes along with Gabriel’s plan to Akumatize w:c:antagonist:Audrey Bourgeois by telling her that she has a second-row seat at his fashion show as opposed to a front-row seat. After Style Queen's defeat, Nathalie comments on the big risk Gabriel took involving his son getting turned into a glitter statue.
In "Queen Wasp", when Gabriel decides to quit being Hawk Moth and sadly sulks over his wife, Nathalie hugs him and then accompanies him to his fashion show. Later on, when Gabriel changes his mind about quitting being Hawk Moth, Nathalie confronts him about it. Gabriel tells her that he can't give up, as he misses his wife too much. Though Nathalie understands, she can't help but feel sad for him.
In "Catalyst (Heroes' Day - Part 1)", Nathalie helps Hawk Moth to get Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculouses by letting him Akumatize her into Catalyst, a power-enhancing supervillain. Then Nathalie, as Catalyst, turns Hawk Moth into Scarlet Moth, boosting his powers so that he can create as many Akumas as he wants.
Mayura makes her debut in the final episode with the same name, "Mayura (Heroes' Day - Part 2)". After seeing that Ladybug and Cat Noir defeated Scarlet Moth and the scarlet Akumatized villains, Catalyst becomes enraged. She takes the Peacock Miraculous and transforms herself into Mayura in order to help Hawk Moth. She then helps him escape the heroes. Later, a weak Nathalie is shown with the Peacock Miraculous alongside Gabriel Agreste.
Season 3[]
In "Miraculer", as the rest of the French Miraculous Superhero Team fights Hawk Moth's newest villain, Mayura waits beside Chloé Bourgeois' house for Ladybug to give her the Bee Miraculous. When this doesn't happen, Nathalie and Gabriel take note of how reluctant Ladybug seems in giving Chloé the Bee Miraculous and decide to use Lila Rossi's psychological talents in order to make Chloé lose faith in Ladybug and become vulnerable to Akumatization. As part of Hawk Moth's plan, Mayura sends a feather to a crying baby August, creating a giant lollipop sentimonster. While the plan to Akumatize Chloé ultimately fails, Hawk Moth is able to Akumatize Chloé's best friend Sabrina into Miraculer, a power-stealing supervillain. Due to the villain stealing both Ladybug's and Cat Noir's powers, Ladybug decides that she needs everyone—including Chloé. However, before Cat Noir can hand Chloé the Bee Miraculous, Mayura snatches it and tells Chloé that if she joins them, all her dreams will come true. During the battle between Miraculer and the French Miraculous Superhero Team, Hawk Moth tells Mayura to come back to him as she has the Bee Miraculous. However, when Mayura begins to take off, Cat Noir knocks the Bee Miraculous out of her hands and Ladybug snatches it. As Mayura runs away, Ladybug gives the Bee Miraculous to Chloé and tells her to follow Mayura, to which Chloé agrees and transforms into Queen Bee. She engages Mayura in combat, though Mayura manages to pin her down and tries to convince her to join her team by promising that she can be Queen Bee whenever she likes. However, Queen Bee refuses and escapes Mayura's grasp. She nearly succeeds in taking the Peacock Miraculous off her, but Mayura manages to escape before she can. After Miraculer's defeat, Mayura apologizes to Hawk Moth for failing, but Hawk Moth tells her that it's okay as he is confident that Queen Bee will change her mind.
In "Party Crasher", Nathalie drives a hologram of Gabriel to the airport for Tokyo's fashion week. While she is driving, the real Gabriel contacts her and asks if everything is going according to plan, and she assures him that they are, as he will spend the entire week in Tokyo and nobody will suspect that he really stayed home. Later, Nathalie is mentioned by Nino who notes that with both her and Gabriel away they will be able to throw a party for Adrien in his house.
In "The Puppeteer 2", Nathalie enters Adrien's room and informs him that it's time for him to go to the Musée Grévin. Adrien asks if he can bring a friend with him, which she allows, resulting in him calling Nino. However, as Nino is supposed to be spending the day with Alya, Adrien asks if he can bring two friends, which she approves. After Alya asks Marinette to come as she is babysitting Marinette, Adrien asks Nathalie if he can bring four friends instead, and, reluctantly, she says that she'll see what she can do.
In "Stormy Weather 2", Gabriel has Nathalie write a letter to Tomoe Tsurugi that states that even though things aren't going as planned, change is a good thing and their agreement will be strengthened in the end. Thinking to herself, Nathalie states that things aren't going as planned for her either, admitting that she regrets taking her job, as it has become too much for her. She further claims that her affection for Adrien, sadness for Emilie, and admiration for Gabriel have all grown, with her claiming that she would do anything for the latter, no matter the cost. Suddenly, she begins violently coughing and drops to the floor, although she tells Gabriel that she is alright. Sensing a strong negative emotion, Gabriel tells Nathalie that they will finish the letter later, and has her escort Adrien out when he tries to talk to him.
In "Timetagger", when Gabriel expresses grief over the fact that him not being Hawk Moth in the future may mean that he’s failed his mission, Nathalie reminds him that it could also mean that he has succeeded, telling him that the future is not set in stone.
In "Feast", when Mr. Kubdel unveils a statue he discovered in Tibet, Nathalie is so shocked by it that she drops her tablet. She then begins to feel dizzy, so she, Adrien, and the bodyguard go home. After Gabriel explains to Adrien that Nathalie gets dizzy spells sometimes, Nathalie reveals to Gabriel that the statue Mr. Kubdel found is actually a dormant sentimonster. Gabriel decides to bring it back to life, so once nighttime comes, Mayura sneaks into the Louvre and awakens it. When it tries to eat her Miraculous, Mayura threatens to take its Amok away. After Hawk Moth Akumatizes it into Feast, Mayura goes back to Hawk Moth's lair and the two soon learn the identity of the Guardian of the Miraculouses. After Feast's defeat, Mayura detransforms and Nathalie falls to the floor coughing, though she assures Hawk Moth that she's fine.
In "Ladybug", as part of Gabriel's plan to make Marinette and her friends vulnerable to Akumatization, she drives him to the Place des Vosges to meet with Lila. After the two talk, Nathalie tells Gabriel that he works too hard, but Gabriel says that it isn't the time to ease up. After Lila successfully gets Marinette expelled from school, Hawk Moth turns Nathalie back into Catalyst and Catalyst turns Hawk Moth into Scarlet Moth. However, Catalyst suddenly falls to the floor and begins coughing hysterically, so Gabriel abandons the plan to help her. Later, he decides that she shouldn't use the Peacock Miraculous anymore as it is affecting her health, though Nathalie insists that she doesn't care as she wants to help him. Later, when he's asleep, Nathalie steals the Peacock Miraculous back from Gabriel, buys an Eiffel Tower keychain, and goes down the sewers to where she puts the Miraculous on. She explains to Duusu that she's going to create a very powerful Sentimonster. Though Duusu tells Nathalie that she should be resting, Nathalie declares that she wants to be the one to give Gabriel Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculouses before transforming into Mayura. She creates an Amok, puts it inside the keychain she'd bought, and creates the Sentimonster Ladybug. She attempts to use the creature to trick Cat Noir and steal his Miraculous, and although it almost works, the real Ladybug shows up and thwarts her plan. When Sentimonster Ladybug turns on her to side with the real Ladybug and Cat Noir, Mayura recalls her Amok, destroying her. Cat Noir angrily charges at her for that, but Hawk Moth shows up to save her. Ladybug captures Mayura with her yo-yo and threatens to take the Peacock Miraculous from her, though Hawk Moth has Cat Noir in his clutches and reminds her that he can take his ring from him. Mayura tells Hawk Moth not to worry about her, but Hawk Moth lets go of Cat Noir just as Ladybug lets go of Mayura. Later, Gabriel scolds Nathalie for disobeying him and putting herself in danger for nothing but admits that her plan was brilliant and claims that she doesn't need a Miraculous to help him. Nathalie points out that he also needed Mayura to find the Guardian, though Gabriel says he isn't so sure about that. Nathalie gives him the Peacock Miraculous and says that he can call on her if he ever needs Mayura again.

Hawk Moth has Mayura create a Sentimonster replica of the previous Akumatized villain Robostus to wreak havoc in Paris while Marinette and Adrien are visiting New York.
Miraculous Shanghai[]
Nathalie tells Gabriel that the conditions for the magical eclipse will be met the next day, allowing the Prodigious to be retrieved in Shanghai. It is also revealed in a flashback Gabriel has that he had Nathalie buy Fei Wu's bracelet from Cash in the past.
Miraculous Paris[]
Just after Gabriel manages to escape from Ladybug and Cat Noir's trap at the cost of getting his forearm Cataclysmed in "Destruction". Gabriel picks up his phone and tries to call Nathalie, only to get a voicemail, due to Nathalie refusing to talk to him after their fallout in "Evolution", much to Gabriel's anger.
Season 4[]
In "Truth", Nathalie's voice is heard while Gabriel is repairing the Peacock Miraculous, enabling him to unify it with the Butterfly Miraculous and become Shadow Moth.
In "Gabriel Agreste", Nathalie, still bedridden, receives a meal from Adrien and discusses Gabriel's upcoming party with him, claiming that some of the most influential people in Paris will be attending and that it is very important to Gabriel. Gabriel arrives and asks Adrien to leave, and laments to Nathalie about the difficulty he is having without her. Nathalie encourages Gabriel and hands him a list of everything that needs to be prepared for the party. Later that night, Gabriel re-enters Nathalie's room again after Félix "returns" his wedding ring, ranting about how his nephew attempted to trick him with a replica ring. Nathalie advises him to Akumatize Félix and force him to reveal the location of the ring, but Gabriel resists, knowing that his nephew would deduce that he is Shadow Moth. Nathalie replies that he has forgotten how powerful he has become and that he can be in two places at once; thus, Gabriel transforms into Shadow Moth and constructs a Sentimonster copy of himself to provoke Félix.
Shadow Moth ultimately fails to Akumatize Félix, and Nathalie quickly advises him to Akumatize the Sentimonster Gabriel into The Collector instead. Afterward, once Collector is defeated and the Sentimonster Gabriel receives a Magical Charm from Ladybug, Shadow Moth brings it back into Nathalie's room, destroying it. Detransforming, Gabriel hands the Magical Charm over to Nathalie, wanting to know how Ladybug was able to create it. Nathalie states that the Miraculous spellbook has no information on such an item, making Gabriel theorize that the book only records the information that the Guardians of the Miraculous were able to discover and that they are more powerful than they realized. Nathalie affirms that this means that he is also more powerful than they thought as well.
In "Optigami", Nathalie brings Gabriel into her room and explains to him that, sometime after Miracle Queen revealed the identities of the Miraculous holders, she used the Peacock Miraculous to create the Sentimonster Optigami; an origami-like butterfly able to hide within objects and broadcast what it sees directly to her tablet. Using it, she attempted to discover Ladybug's identity by spying on her allies, although she would prove too cautious to reveal herself. Nathalie declares that Optigami is useless, but Gabriel declares that it could still help them, forming a plan to hide Optigami within a returned Miraculous, and create a villain that will force her to seek allies. As a result, Gabriel tricks Audrey Bourgeois into hosting an award show for the "Fashion Icon of the Month", inviting all of the Miraculous holders to attend. At the event, Nathalie has Optigami watch over the show and informs Shadow Moth that everything is in place for his plan.
Shadow Moth then has Sentialec humiliate Audrey so that he can Akumatize her into Style Queen, who begins to hunt down those that have laughed at her; with Nathalie guiding Optigami into finding the Miraculous holders throughout the building, and keeping track as she neutralizes them. Optigami eventually places itself inside an elevator to find more targets, but, seeing Adrien and Marinette trapped inside, Nathalie advises Shadow Moth not to have Style Queen go after them. Later, Nathalie has Optigami keep an eye on Sentinino as Shadow Moth tries to have him draw out Alya, and watches as Alya gives Sentinino the Turtle Miraculous, informing Shadow Moth of this happening; although surprised, he declares that it won't hinder his plan, and Nathalie orders Optigami to place itself inside the Turtle Miraculous.
Ladybug, Rena, and Senticarapace (Sentinino using the Turtle Miraculous) defeat Style Queen, however, before taking the Miraculouses back, Ladybug deduces "Nino" to be a Sentimonster, much to Nathalie and Shadow Moth's surprise. Ladybug then has Cat Noir destroy the Turtle Miraculous and release Optigami, which Shadow Moth then destroys, cutting off communication between him and Nathalie. In the aftermath, Gabriel discusses with Nathalie that Alya has a special position in Ladybug's organization and that they must take a special interest in her, causing Nathalie to smirk.
In "Sentibubbler", after his plan to force Alya to betray Ladybug using Sentibubbler fails, Gabriel returns to Nathalie's room and rants about how Ladybug never makes a mistake, destroying her tablet in anger. Nathalie replies that everyone, including Ladybug, makes mistakes, and comforts him.
In "Hack-San", Gabriel hands the titular Sentimonster over to Nathalie and explains its capabilities as a living computer virus, intending for it to infect Markov with negative emotions so he can Akumatize him. Nathalie plugs Hack-San into her tablet, allowing it to send its virus to Markov. After Robostus is defeated, Nathalie watches sadly as Hack-San is destroyed, seemingly realizing that Shadow Moth has failed again.
In "Dearest Family", Nathalie observes through her tablet as Gabriel experiments with the Magical Charm and attempts to break it. When he states that the Magical Charm keeps repelling his Akuma, she reminds him that his powers are capable of growing just like Ladybug's have, and that, based on the Miraculous spellbook's writings, the only limits to the Miraculous' powers are the ones that the holders set for themselves. She continues to encourage Gabriel and watches in amazement as he creates a Megakuma capable of destroying the Magical Charms.
In "Kuro Neko", Nathalie, now shown wearing a mechanical brace to help her walk, enters Adrien's room after he misses breakfast, and finds him still in bed, claiming that he doesn't feel like going to school; feeling depressed after feeling disregarded by Ladybug and giving up his Miraculous. Nathalie informs Gabriel of this, who reasons that his son will feel better by his next photo shoot.
In "Risk", after suffering another defeat, Gabriel visits Nathalie in her room and rants yet again about how Ladybug never makes a mistake. Nathalie tries to comfort him by saying that he has yet to make a mistake either since Ladybug hasn't defeated him, only to fall into a coughing fit. Gabriel laments that he has made a mistake since she was forced to use the broken Peacock Miraculous, but Nathalie claims that she was fully aware of the risk she took. With this, Gabriel realizes that Ladybug doesn't make mistakes because she doesn't take risks, and rushes out of Nathalie's room, intent on creating a villain that will force her to take risks; and succeeding by Akumatizing a boy named Froggy into Risk.
That morning, Nathalie calls Adrien to inform him about his schedule, and reluctantly informs him that Gabriel has cancelled the breakfast he scheduled for the both of them, also delivering some clothes he is to wear while meeting Gabriel in his study. Later, Nathalie is manipulated into letting Félix into the Agreste mansion off-screen, who offers to take Adrien's place in the around-the-world ad campaign Gabriel is forcing him to partake in. Following this, Félix (disguised as Adrien) approaches Nathalie in her room and offers to help pack her things; unbeknownst to Nathalie, in doing so, he steals her tablet. Gabriel arrives and asks Félix to step outside while he talks to Nathalie; Félix does so and begins to investigate the mansion, confirming his suspicion that Gabriel is Shadow Moth, while also finding Emilie in his secret repository.
Gabriel imparts to Nathalie that his latest plan is his riskiest yet, and, in the event anything were to go wrong, entrusts her with Emilie's wedding ring and Adrien. Gabriel and Nathalie leave the room and enter Gabriel's atelier, discovering Félix; Félix protests about having to participate in the campaign, only for Nathalie to talk him down. Nathalie, Félix, and Lila subsequently board the Startrain leaving Paris, despite Ladybug's attempt to interfere. Once the train leaves, Nathalie informs Shadow Moth that his son is safe, allowing him to enact the next stage of his plan by creating the Sentimonster Strikeback.
In "Strikeback", while on the Startrain, Nathalie tries to console Félix, telling him to make the most of his trip before he returns to Paris. After Risk and Strikeback are both defeated, Gabriel returns home and calls Nathalie, informing her of his failure and that she is to bring Adrien back and cancel the trip. Nathalie tries to tell him that she has lost Adrien on the train; and, simultaneously, Gabriel meets Félix, now wielding the Dog Miraculous as the hero Flairmidable. Nathalie attempts to continue talking to Gabriel, only to start coughing and collapse, which is witnessed by Lila.
Season 5[]
In "Evolution", immediately following the events of "Strikeback", Gabriel calls Nathalie to inform her that Ladybug did make a mistake and that he now has almost all of the Miraculous (thanks to Félix's betrayal), including the Rabbit Miraculous, which will allow him to travel through time. Nathalie advises him to wait for her to return, but Gabriel eagerly declares that he can travel back to when Ladybug and Cat Noir were weaker and defeat them, hanging up on her. Gabriel transforms into his new identity of Monarch, and uses the Rabbit Miraculous' Burrow to travel into the past, only to be confronted and chased across the timestream by Ladybug and Rabbit Noir (Cat Noir using Bunnyx's Rabbit Miraculous). Becoming weakened by the overuse of his Miraculous powers, Monarch is forced to transports himself to the Startrain just seconds after he hung up on Nathalie.
He detransforms and approaches her, demanding that she find food to refuel the Kwamis. Nathalie obeys and feeds the Kwamis with a sandwich. Gabriel tells her that he can defeat Ladybug if he picks the right moment in time. Instead, Nathalie proposes an alternate way to use his powers: traveling back in time to prevent Emilie from using the broken Peacock Miraculous. She then hands him a flash drive containing the information needed to repair the Peacock Miraculous, ensuring that Emilie, and herself, will never get sick from using it. Gabriel thanks Nathalie and heads back to the Rabbit Miraculous' pocket dimension to enact her plan, only to become distracted by the sight of Ladybug's Lucky Charm. Tempted to steal Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous, he abandons Nathalie's plan to ambush the heroes instead.
As a result of his decision, Monarch plays into Ladybug, Cat Noir and Canigirl's trap, losing the Rabbit Miraculous and being returned to the present by Bunnyx as a result. While Gabriel is mourning his mistake, Nathalie calls him, believing that he succeeded in rewriting the past. Gabriel relays that he lost the Rabbit Miraculous because of Ladybug and asks her to help him form a new plan. Immediately, Nathalie berates him for selfishly throwing away his chance to save both her and Emilie because of his obsession with the Miraculous, to which Gabriel responds that it was all Ladybug's fault. Nathalie swiftly declares that he doesn't deserve her or anyone else's help and hangs up, leaving Gabriel to again blame Ladybug and scream her name in rage. Nathalie then collapses in another coughing fit and asks Lila to help her back to her seat.
In "Multiplication", Nathalie returns to the Agreste mansion on the same night as her falling out with Gabriel, while he observes. She enters Adrien's room and briefly glimpses at him while he is sleeping, and is not seen for the rest of the episode.
In "Destruction", Nathalie appears during the lengthy period in which Gabriel is inactive as Monarch—due to him forcing Cat Noir to Cataclysm him in order to escape the trap set for him by Ladybug—revealing that she is still in his service. She is present in the meeting between Gabriel and Tomoe Tsurugi, where the former acquires the parts necessary to complete his plan of reconfiguring the Miraculous so that he can transfer their powers through his and Tomoe's Alliance rings. When Adrien tries to talk to his father, she tells him that it is not the time, and sees him out.
In "Illusion", Adrien approaches Nathalie and demands to see his father over him using his image on the Alliance rings. To his surprise, Nathalie informs him that Gabriel is already waiting for him in the kitchen. Nathalie witnesses as Gabriel displays his newfound affable demeanor to Adrien, and decides to take over from her in attending his parent-teacher conference at school, leaving her perturbed.
In "Passion", Nathalie goes through her morning routine, only to discover that Adrien is already awake and in the kitchen with his father. Tensions begin to arise between her and Gabriel over the former's treatment of Adrien, although they manage to put on a friendly façade for the latter. Once Adrien leaves, Nathalie slams Gabriel into the table, declaring that he is no longer pursuing the Miraculous out of love for Emilie but madness, and that she only wishes to protect Adrien from him. She continues, telling Gabriel that he must accept Emilie's condition as she did, and that Adrien only needs him to be happy. In response, he reveals his spreading Cataclysm injury, insisting that if she doesn't help him, he won't be able to heal either of them, and Adrien will be left alone.
Horrified, Nathalie returns to her room, and reviews a video message left to her by Emilie, telling her to convince Gabriel to give up looking for the Miraculous and protect Adrien. She breaks down crying, believing that she had failed Emilie—but declares that she will now acquire the Miraculouses before Gabriel does, unwilling to let him remake the world in his mad image. Nathalie regains composure as Adrien knocks on her door, asking for advice about how to address his new feelings for Marinette. Nathalie is unable to give much advice, reminiscing that she spent her youth adventuring and didn't have time for love, before coughing. Adrien becomes disheartened and questions if the same sickness that claimed his mother is getting to her as well; Nathalie says that she is fine, and sees him off.
Later, Nathalie approaches Gabriel while he is speaking to Emilie, telling him he isn't alone, and demanding that he akumatize her. Nathalie returns to her room, where she contacts Monarch and informs him of her plan to go after the Miraculous holders, asking for the power to never miss a target. Monarch obeys, and transforms her into Safari, granting her the Goat Miraculous' power of Genesis through her Alliance ring. Safari uses Genesis to craft a set of hunting gear for herself, including ammunition based off of the Bee, Fox, Tiger, Pig, and Dragon Miraculous' powers. Now that she is armed, Monarch warns her not to use more than six powers at a time, with Safari responding that she won't make the same mistakes that he did. She then opens her window and exits, declaring that the hunt is on.
Using Mirage, Safari crafts an illusion of Timetagger attacking Paris, drawing Marinette and Adrien into action. Safari stalks the heroes as they pursue the Timetagger illusion, and fires two bolts infused with Venom to pursue them. Ladybug is struck and paralyzed, but Cat Noir manages to Cataclysm the first bolt, and directs the next one Safari fires into hitting a statue of himself instead. Safari is drawn out to look for the paralyzed Cat Noir and Ladybug, and Cat Noir immediately recognizes her as Nathalie, promising to return her to normal. Safari fires multiple Venom bolts that chase Cat Noir into the sewer, although he detransforms moments before they can strike him, to Safari's frustration. From this, Adrien deduces that Safari's attacks can only pursue a specific target.
Adrien unfreezes Ladybug by having Plagg take back her Miraculous and explains to her his plan to swap Miraculouses so that Safari cannot pursue them. From his concern for Nathalie, he is asks Marinette if they could use both Miraculouses to wish for a better world, until Marinette reminds him of the consequences. Marinette and Adrien transform into Lady Noire and Mister Bug, and observe Safari as she sends out another Mirage of Timetagger to lure the heroes out. Instead they ambush her and destroy her crossbow, being surprised they didn't release her akumatized object. Safari explains that losing her weapons doesn't affect her power, and uses a whip to hurl objects after the heroes. She demands to be given their Miraculous, making Lady Noire question why she desires them so badly.
Safari explains that she, like anyone, wants to have a wish. Monarch demands to know what she means by this, but Safari forces his submission by threatening to expose his identity to the heroes, and proudly declares that she is going to get her wish. The heroes try to warn Safari of the consequences of such a wish, to which she replies that she has nothing to lose. Mister Bug angrily refutes this by claiming that she could lose the ones she loves, and that there will always be someone who loves her. He smashes her tracking device, just as Ladybug also destroys her whip, neither of which release an akuma. While Safari is still attacking them, Mister Bug determines that the akuma is still where she was akumatized, and uses a his Lucky Charm, creating a perfume bottle to help him "deduce" that she came from the Agreste mansion.
Lady Noire delays Safari as Mister Bug heads back to Nathalie's room, destroying her old treasure hunting gear to release the akuma. Safari is de-akumatized, and Gabriel bursts into the room, pretending surprise. Mister Bug declares Monarch a monster for taking advantage of such a vulnerable person and exits with Lady Noire, leaving Gabriel and Nathalie behind. Later, Nathalie again reminisces over Emilie, when Adrien enters her room. He apologizes, believing that his questions were what distressed her into being akumatized, before hugging her and declaring that he will be with her no matter what happens. Nathalie hugs him back, looking fondly at an old picture of her, Emilie and Gabriel. She breaks the embrace and asks Adrien to tell her about the girl he has feelings for.
In "Reunion", Nathalie is seen having breakfast with Adrien and Gabriel. When the former asks if he can have permission to visit the Louvre, where Alim Kubdel is showing pictures of his daughter's adventures as Bunnyx, Nathalie and Gabriel express interest and permit Adrien to leave. Not long after, Gabriel transforms into Monarch and akumatizes Jalil Kubdel into the Pharaoh, promising Nathalie and Emilie that he will capture the Rabbit Miraculous again and make up for his mistakes. Monarch's plan is ultimately foiled, and he solemnly returns to Nathalie's room, apologizing for his failure.
In "Transmission", Nathalie appears in Adrien's room after he feels depressed by his failed attempt at confessing his love to Marinette. Adrien has her answer Nino's call, feeling too sad to do it himself, making his friends realize that something is wrong. Nathalie leaves the room following this, meeting Gabriel outside. She informs him of how Adrien is feeling, to which Gabriel replies that he already knows. Nathalie demands that he not try and take advantage of the situation to akumatize Adrien, to which Gabriel replies that he only wishes to see his son. Nathalie's assumption proves correct as Gabriel actually does try to akumatize Adrien after giving him an Alliance ring to wear, but fails due to him cheering up after Plagg takes back the Cat Miraculous, leaving him free to court Marinette.
In "Deflagration", Nathalie catches Gabriel when he is cheerily singing and dancing, sternly asking what he is doing. Gabriel dances with her and takes her back to the entrance to his lair, where he shows that his Alliance rings have tracked and identified the new Ladybug and Cat Miraculous holders, Alya Césaire and Zoé Lee. She dryly congratulates his success, and he replies that he now only needs to akumatize someone to lure the heroes out and capture them. He enters his lair, leaving Nathalie to stare up at Emilie's portrait. She returns to her room, and expresses happiness that Emilie will soon return, but also worry at how far Gabriel is willing to go in order to achieve his goals. Ultimately, her worries don't come to pass as Monarch is defeated by The Resistance, and Marinette and Adrien become Ladybug and Cat Noir again.
In "Protection", Adrien comes to Nathalie and laments that Gabriel has forbidden him from having a relationship with Marinette. Upset by this, Nathalie tells Adrien that he is free to be with whoever he wants, and not to let anyone control that. Adrien decides to resume his date with Marinette, which Gabriel notices. He immediately enters Nathalie's room and accuses her of giving Adrien a counter-order. Nathalie sternly replies that controlling Adrien's love life is going too far. Gabriel notices Emilie's wedding ring in her hand, and tells Nathalie that she is right, bitterly leaving the room. Afterwards, Gabriel decides to break up Adrien's relationship more Marinette indirectly, following Lila's plan to have Kagami akumatized and spoil their date.
In "Emotion", Nathalie attends the Diamonds Dance with Gabriel, arguing with him about Adrien; Nathalie saying that he has the right to be with whoever he chooses, and Gabriel claiming that he must obey orders. She stays by his side as Tomoe, Kagami, and later "Adrien" enter, and witnesses as Amile Graham de Vanily enters and accuses Gabriel of doing nothing to help her find Félix. Nathalie escorts Amelie out, the latter questioning how she could still help Gabriel. Nathalie says that she doesn't have a choice, Amelie retorting that there is always a choice. Nathalie enters the party with Gabriel, and like the rest of Paris is later destroyed by Félix/Argos and his Sentimonster Red Moon, before being restored by the former. The next day, Gabriel calls Nathalie and expresses annoyance at Marinette, remarking that she is causing as much trouble as Ladybug.
In "Pretension", Nathalie monitors a machine in Gabriel's lair designed to siphon the Kwamis' energies to stave off his Cataclysm injury. The machine fails, and Gabriel awakens, defiantly telling the Kwamis that he doesn't need to cure himself, only buy himself more time to steal the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses so he can save himself, Emilie, and Nathalie. That night, Nathalie has dinner with Adrien and Gabriel. Gabriel tells his son that they will be moving to London next year, making Adrien leave in anger. Nathalie questions Gabriel's decision, who expresses that he is doing it for Adrien's own good, and smugly claims that nobody can stop him anyway, frustrating her.
As Gabriel continues his psychotic plans to get Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous to make his wish, Nathalie struggles to fight her illness before she ends up like Emilie. While Gabriel works with Tomoe Tsuguri and Lila Rossi to encourage Chloe Bourgeois to take over as Mayor of Paris from her father Andre after he resigns in disgrace, this leads to where the people of Paris rise up in revolt against her, resulting in Chloe, along with her mother Audrey, being exiled from Paris forever by Andre, while Gabriel and Tomoe prepare for their endgame with Operation Perfect Alliance, sending Adrien and Kagami to London to keep them safe from what is to come, even as Nathalie, in her ailing condition, encourages Adrien to defy his father and pursue his relationship with Marinette.
In the Season 5 finale, "Last Day", Ladybug, having been told of Monarch's true identity by Argos and Kagami, arrives to find Nathalie about to succumb to her illness and end up like Emilie. Proving Ladybug her phone with all of Emilie's video messages on it to try and reason with Gabriel, Nathalie pleads Ladybug to stop Gabriel before he can make his mad wish to remake the world in his psychotic image. After making her plea to Ladybug, Nathalie succumbs to the same illness that befell Emilie and slips into a permanent coma, much to Ladybug's devastation. Enraged by what happened to Nathalie, Ladybug confronts Monarch as Bug Noire, and using Emilie's cryo-pod to force Gabriel to lower his guard against her to protect it, Marinette successfully disarmed him of the Butterfly Miraculous. Showing him Emilie's last message, asking him to let her go and focus on Adrien, Gabriel seems to break down in guilt and shame over ruining Adrien's life with his mad obsession. However, when Marinette offers to help him, he ambushes her, incapacitates her with Venom, and secures the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous. Summoning Tikki and Plagg and fusing them into Gimmi, Gabriel prepares to make his wish, but Marinette's words had managed to get through to him, and surrendering the Miraculous Alliance rings, along with the Graham de Vanily twin rings carrying Adrien's Amok, Gabriel asks Marinette to not tell Adrien of his evil acts, and to just remember him trying to be a good father. With that, he asks Gimmi to look in his heart and soul for what he wishes for and what to sacrifice in return, and understanding his request, Gimmi grants it. Gabriel and Emilie ascend to the afterlife, while Gimmi recreates the universe in accordance to Gabriel's wish: Nathalie given a second chance at life.

(Moved, Marinette's eyes begin to tear up as her guilt sets in) Marinette: I tried to save him. I tried to reason with him. For Adrien's sake. Surely we could've worked out a solution together, and now...Adrien no longer has a father, all because of me! (voice breaking) Adrien's all alone all because of me! Nathalie: What did you want to do? Marinette: The...the wish. I should've made the wish. For Adrien. Nathalie: And what would you have sacrificed? Marinette: Myself... Nathalie: By rekindling what was still good in Gabriel Agreste, you saved us all. Besides, Adrien isn't all alone. He has you. Marinette: ...And you too. (Marinette is hugged by Nathalie as she completely breaks down and cries her heart out) |

As revealed in Miraculous World London, a fully healed Nathalie proceeds downstairs with a crossbow when she overhears Plagg and Tikki revealing that Gabriel used the wish to save her life in exchange of his own, much to her shock, and also sees Marinette there with the Kwamis. After being alerted to her presence, Marinette has Tikki and Plagg turn her back into Bug Noire in self-defense, but Nathalie throws away her crossbow to show she's not like Gabriel, convincing Marinette to stand down. Marinette then breaks down on the verge of tears, blaming herself for not doing more to save Gabriel's life and leaving Adrien an orphan now. When Nathalie asks why, Marinette says she should have made the wish with Gimmi, and when asked what she would've sacrificed to Gimmi as part of her wish, Marinette admits that she would've sacrificed herself. Nathalie assures Marinette she made the right choice. By rekindling the small amount of goodness that was still in Gabriel's heart, she saved all of them. Nevertheless, Marinette breaks down crying as Nathalie hugs and comforts her. Once she recovers enough to recover the Miraculous Alliance Rings, she asks about the Kwamis and where they are. Nathalie takes her to Gabriel's lab where they are located, and using her handprint, Nathalie shuts down the apparatus and lets them go. As the Kwamis happily reunite with Marinette, she uses her Miraculous Ladybug to undo the effects of both Operation Perfect Alliance and Nightormentor's around the world dust, restoring the Miraculized back to normal with no memory of what happened, and also removing the nightmares plaguing everyone else, including the United Heroez, the Guardians, Ladydragon, the Resistance, and even Adrien and Kagami, who Marinette sees in their solitary confinement rooms on the security monitors.
Nathalie explains that they are being held at Tomoe's lab in London, and Marinette can head there to free them, while also revealing Tomoe Tsurugi's involvement with Gabriel's last plan that led to now. Nathalie also intended to turn herself in to the police for her crimes as Mayura, but Marinette talked her out of it, reminding her that Adrien would still need someone like her to take care of him as she's been like a mother figure to him. Although hesitant to believe Marinette regarding that, realizing that if she goes to prison, Adrien will be all alone now that Gabriel and Emilie are gone, she agrees to look after him as her penance and atonement. After she goes to free Adrien and Kagami, Marinette returns to Paris, but burdened by the lie she told Adrien regarding his father's cause of death, she runs into Nathalie's embrace and breaks down crying over what she had done. She then sees to the destruction of anything that would expose the truth of Gabriel being Monarch, including the device that the Kwamis were trapped in, Emilie's old cryo-pod, and the catwalk and elevator to the Crypt, which Marinette destroys with Cataclysm, permanently sealing the Crypt from ever being found and exposing the truth. They then head to the Startrain station to await its arrival. When it arrives and Adrien, Kagami, and Placide I.T. disembark, Adrien runs into Nathalie's embrace to be comforted over losing both of his parents now, before she lets him share a hug with Marinette as well. Some time after, in the more eco-friendly Paris under new Mayoress Caline Bustier, Nathalie welcomes the Fathoms, Amelie and Felix, to live with Adrien at the Agreste Mansion, and Placide continues his services tending to her and Amelie.
