Nautilstor is a minor antagonist in Generation One of the Transformers franchise. He was based on a figure from the 1988 toyline.
Marvel Comics[]
Nautilator first appeared with the rest of the Seacons in the UK-exclusive story "Enemy Action". The group had been summoned to Earth by Shockwave to carry out excavations on the Decepticons' new undersea base. When he saw Galvatron approaching the base, Shockwave despatched the Seacons to attack him but they were quickly overcome. In the later annual story "Dreadwing Down", Nautilator and the other Seacons were sent to retrieve a fuel cell from Dreadwing, who had crashlanded in the sea. The fuel cell was recovered by the Autobot Powermasters and the Seacons were left to rescue their Nebulan allies Hi-Test and Throttle.
Nautilator made his first Marvel US appearance in Issue #47 during the Underbase Saga. Now working for new Earth Decepticon commander Ratbat, the Seacons were assigned to search the sea bed for cassettes containing details of the mythical Underbase, which was due to pass through Earth's solar system. They managed to retrieve them but not before Autobot Blaster had gained information from them. The Seacons were later put into action to defend the Decepticons' base from a mysterious spaceship which turned out to be the Decepticon faction led by Scorponok. In Issue #50, when the two Decepticon groups joined up with the Autobots against Starscream, who had absorbed the power of the Underbase, Nautilator was part of a team led by Ratbat and Blaster who defended New York. He and the other Seacons swarmed on Starscream when he was knocked into the river only to be quickly killed by him.
In "Flashback", part of Marvel UK's Earthforce storyline, Megatron travelled back in time to try and prevent the Seacons' demise but was thwarted by Prowl.
