The Nazi Party is a major recurring villainous organization from the WWII propaganda-era of Popeye the Sailor Man. They represent the real-world political party, founded by Adolf Hitler, which aimed to take over the world and eradicate every race was not considered Aryan, namely Jewish, Black, and Homosexual people. They appeared as the villains of several of Popeye's cartoons, as World War II was happening in real life and these cartoons were especially topical at the time.

Nowadays, the Nazis never make appearances on television anymore, due to their references to Nazism being outdated (with The Holocaust ending and the fall of their army happening in 1945).

Biography

In "Spinach Fer Britain", The Nazis piloted a submarine and dive-bombed an innocent man's boat, when he was just trying to shower. The Nazis then went to a buoy, where a seagull was perched. The seagull stared intently into the periscope and The Nazis assumed he was a spy and fired at him. The seagull dodged the attacks and shot back with a pistol and then flew away.

Lastly, the Nazis bumped into another Nazi submarine and blew it to destruction, mistaking it for an enemy sub. Every time the Nazis landed a strike on Popeye, they would jump out of their sub and salute each other, quoting "Heil Hitler!". The Nazis eventually came across Popeye, who was delivering spinach to Great Britain in a boat. The Nazis used their submarine propellor to drill into Popeye's boat and shot it apart from the inside.

Popeye found the sub and smacked it with an anchor, blowing up his entire ship until it was nothing but a little paddle boat, holding all the spinach. The Nazis came up to Popeye with a cannon but then Popeye grabbed the cannon and redirected it toward them, causing them to knock themselves upside down. The Nazis didn't notice they were upside down until they looked through their periscope and saw a bunch of upside-down fish underwater. Upon this realization, they all fell down and landed on the ceiling.

The Nazis set up a bunch of land mines to blow up Popeye's boat but Popeye caught all the spinach and then balanced himself on one last piece of wood. The Nazis tried to fire another cannon at Popeye but then Popeye used his pipe to blow smoke into it, making the cannon sneeze into itself. However, the explosion still took Popeye down with it and did minimal damage to the sub. The Nazis came out to do another victory salute but when they did, a bunch of spinach cans landed on them.

Popeye fell underwater and then ate some spinach, which gave him the power to turn his fist into a depth charge, which he used to punch the nazi sub down to the seafloor. Nazis would come out of the submarine and Popeye would punch every single one of them to the surface, where they would get blown up by mines. After destroying all the Nazis, Popeye took over their submarine and used it to sail the spinach to Great Britain. Upon arrival, one last Nazi jumped out to salute him, thinking he was another Nazi, only to get beaten senseless by Popeye.

Although none of the actual Nazi soldiers directly appeared, such Nazi Party leaders as Adolf Hitler and Hermann Göring appeared in "Seein' Red, White, & Blue", when Popeye punched a trio of Japanese soldiers and his punch reverberated throughout the world and went all the way to Germany, where Adolf Hitler himself was standing on a balcony, making a speech to his fellow Nazis (who were presumably all standing on the ground, offscreen). Popeye's fist came by and punched Hitler out cold, knocking his mustache off. Hermann Göring rushed into Hitler's aid, only for Hitler to presumably die on the spot.

Although no Nazis appeared on screen, they were mentioned in "A Jolly Good Furlough", when Popeye returned home from the war and his nephews asked him if he killed any Nazis, while he was out there.
