Nazmi Dushku a.k.a. The Eagle is the supporting antagonist of the Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders episode "Pankration". Dushku is an Albanian gangster in Athens, Greece, briefly suspected of murders attributed to Giannis Petrou and his accomplice Collin Marks.
Biography[]
Dushku, better known as "Shqiponja", which translates from Albanian as "The Eagle", is one of the leading crime bosses in the Patallis Chios union of longshoreman across Greece. He hijacked many commerce routes and was rumored to be involved in illegal prize fighting, recognized for his knockouts and rumored to have killed numerous people in the fights. Dushku was also a feared loan shark, including of the Staveros family, whose business was failing from inability to pay its bills. When Greek-American citizen Paul Staveros was killed in Athens, Dushku was suspected due to a potential mob motive. Dushku was questioned at his ports, but he was highly uncooperative and show no evidence of being in a recent fight. Besnik Heta, Dushku's enforcer, was the next victim to be beaten to death. This is when investigators had doubts, as Dushku and Besnik were childhood friends, having immigrated into Greece simultaneously. Nevertheless, Dushku and the Staveros family were brought in for questioning, to see if their arguments that the mob and the family were fighting would lead to new information. Dushku and the Staveros' nearly went into fisticuffs, which only discounted them all as suspects. They were all released on their own recognizance.
